About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

I'm so envious, I would love to do everything you just did. I can't believe how light it still was at 10:00, that's amazing.

We are in Iceland at the moment....sunset is 12.30 am and sunrise is 2.30 am...there is no darkness just dusk.... It is just lovely but it becomes difficult to sleep with the sun pouring through at 2.30 in the morning.

Sounds like a perfect longest day
we had lots of drizzly clouds in Manchester so it wasn't the best, but I'm really loving being able to be out later in the evening and have it still be light and warmish

As ever, a lovely descriptive post. Sunshine cheers us.

WOW still daylight at 10:30,nice! Love the two tone cup,a must have for sure ;)and how wonderful for the kids to find new friends, even with the tumble and slugs(more memories to laugh about later)sounds like a lovely way to celebrate the longest day.Our celebration(a day late) will be roasted hot dogs and marshmellows over an open fire, while waiting for the Super moon to put in an appearance, the closest moon of the year.Happy summer!

When the sun shines any day feels great. Looks lovely your new caravan home. Sarah

What a lovely way to spend the longest day. I wish I could have been with you :)

I envy you your sunshine- been really dark and grey and wet for most of the past 48 hours here- just doesn't feel like the solstice at all! Currently a chilly 14 outside- not wine outdoors watching the moon rise weather at all- well, not without a big jumper, scarf and waterproof!

Amazing - absolute bliss!
I can't wait to get to Yorkshire in August! x

Somehow, you always make us feel like we're right there with you. :)

Perfect Lucy, just perfect.

How lovely. Caravan sites are great for making new friends aren't they. I watched the moon coming up too, on a rare, child-free night spent in our allotment (rock and roll). Apparently it is a 'super moon' tomorrow so better hope for clear skies around moonrise time. At least we got some sun on the longest day.

Lovely pics as usual. Glad you are feeling better Lucy...the long days always help I think. Connievan looks happy in the sunshine! xx

Very tranquil! You'll have lots of happy memories when you look back on your blog. Nippers don't stay small for long.

It looks like the perfect place to spend summer evenings! Hoping you have lots more fun in Connievan! :) x

How lovely and happy solstice! - definitely worth celebrating when we live in a country ruled by weather and seasons. My eldest's birthday is the day before, so it also reminds me of being awake with a newborn a 3.30am and it starting to get light! More than a few years ago now thankfully. x
