About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Wild garlic and bluebells are lovely but they are rampant in my garden particularly the bluebells!!

Lovely photos, it's all so lush out there. The bluebells have just opened in my back garden in the last couple of days - a few weeks later than usual - so hopefully yours are not far off flowering. x

Lucy, you may want to check this outhttp://www.duitang.com/people/mblog/70113514/detail/?next=70113768

It's ur wee birds on another website. Don't know if it infringes anything but thought I should let u know just in case. :)

I, too love your Sunday out and abouts. Much of it reminds me of my home here in Seattle, Washington. I know what you mean about the spring greens. I look forward to all of your posts.

Hi Lucy, read your blog regularly but never commented before. Living in the south of England but used to live in Yorkshire and used to take my ,now huge, peeps to Bolton Abbey when they were small. Love your posts but this one particularly for the memories it brought back. X

Thank you very much for this "promenade".

Such beautiful scenery Lucy! Makes me very very homesick. As I looked at them, I kept wanting a wee Hobbit or Pixie to stick their heads out of the greenery....! xxx

Looks magical, love those amazing tree roots.
Nothing quite like a walk through the woods

Lovely photos Lucy as always xx

Beautiful photos! Thank you for reminding me that it is wild garlic time - I must go and pick some. I love the little snail crawling up to eat the garlic flower! Best wishes, Pj x

I love to see wild garlic. I can remember visiting Old Mother Shipton's Well and this area was full of this. The smell was deliciously overpowering. Loved coming on the journey through pictures of your walk. Have a great week. Chel x

Gorgeous sighting!!

Its a shame the bluebells weren't out for your walk ... but the pictures are beautiful nonetheless!!! Love it!

Bluebells are on their way. They are in full bloom here in Surrey.

Thank you so much for the lovely pictures, I could almost smell the woodland! I was so hoping to get out to a wood this weekend but my youngest was too poorly. The bluebells are out down here and I'm desperate to go for a woodland walk to enjoy them. Your pictures were a little pick me up in the meantime!

So pretty. I remember seeing my first bluebell forest...it was magical. There is something so special about bluebells flowering under a canopy of trees!

My 14 yo son is in the UK with my mum for a friends birthday & they were at Bolton Abbey on Friday. I was so very jealous I love it there. Last time i was there we were on our way home from Skipton! Lucky you being so close.

Green is always intense this time of year, but I think this year it is especially bright: when I open the curtains on a sunny morning my trees are blindingly bright green. Love it.

Just love woods, they are magical, mystical places, perfect for fuelling imagination. You have reminded me to try and visit Puzzle Wood this summer - one of the most photogenic places. Your tree photo is stunning, it really is.

Looks just like our local woods! We live a little south of you (North Derbyshire) and our bluebells have just started blooming. We too took our annual Bluebell walk last week. The wild garlic was just on the verge of flowering and smelled so lovely :o) Lovely pics Lucy.

Incredible those hues of green! So amazingly beautiful. <3

We get out on Sundays too, it completes our week. Jo x

Unas imagenes preciosas. ¡Me encanta el paseo que habeis hecho con ese caminito sinuoso rodeado de verde, a mi lugares como este tambien me alimentan el alma, gracias por acercarlo. Un cariñoso saludo desde España.

Beautiful walk, Lucy! Your pictures always bring so much joy and happiness to me :)I'd like to climb up in the forest now..aww...we did have such walk yesterday with my husband, but that was just an alley of Indian pine trees ;)
