About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Well, now I like a challenge ;D I'm the same with a pattern or recipe,I rarely make one exactly by the directions. My imagination gets in the way.lol Look forward to seeing these beauties as yarn bombing! You know, those would make a pretty bowl...hmmm..lol(There I go again!)Have a great day :)

I think these are absolutely beautiful! Ideal for my daughter who is just learning to crochet - thank you for posting the link.

I might have to find the time to learn how to make some of those.

Marianne Richardson

How they brighten up a VERY grey day!! Gorgeous.

So solar flowers! xxx

These are so beautiful!! Love them.

Beautiful!! That stitch you talked about? I think that's called a Spike Stitch. :)

Beautiful, can't wait to try some. Thanks for the great tip on steaming too:)

Isn't Color wonderful? I've seen Barbara's mandala pattern before, and make a note to try it sometime. And now, with your petal variation, I will make another note.

(It's been a very long time since I bought any acrylic yarn, but this potential outdoors purpose seems ideal for acrylic. Lucy...I do wonder what those Yorkshire sheep make of acrylic!)

Yes, I agree that gentle steaming/blocking can make a dramatic difference.

Yarndale is going to be fabulous. Guaranteed!

I love your beautiful mandala's Lucy, great colours you've used !! And I love colouring them ;)
Everytime you show us gorgeous things !
Have a nice weekend with your family

Love your work Lucy !!

Lovely. Ildiko from Hungary.

They are really pretty, imagine walking round a corner and finding one of those. I am making triangles tonight and finishing my latest crochet project.

Tomorrow I will have a stab at the bunting ,as a non crochet person I hope I can understand the pattern.I don't know if you or your fellow crafters knit but here is a cute pattern that would be perfect for yarndale - of course it's a sheep.http://www.purlbee.com/the-purl-bee/2013/3/3/lauras-loop-bobble-sheep-pillow.html

have a great weekend

They're beautiful Lucy, you always amaze me with your creations. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Just right for crocheting under a tree in the shade I think.

Very beautiful!

Beautiful! Another thing to add to the "to-make" list! I love those kind of projects that use up scraps though. :) I cannot wait to see pictures from Yarndale...if only I were in Europe.

Hi Lucy, Have just happened upon your blog and have fallen in love with your beautiful mandalas. I'm wondering if you have an etsy shop as I'd love to buy some. The colours are fantastic. I live in Brisbane, Australia. Could you please let me know if you sell them? Many thanks, Joy

Oh, those really are quite adorable, aren't they?!? So much color goodness. Adding to the To Do list now. (Folding clothes really is overrated anyways, don't you think?)

Love the orange one !!!!!!
