About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Is that Dolce Merino I spy in that box?!?

The Yarndale bags are spiffy!!!

I always have an adjustment period after returning from a vacation. And it was much more intense when I had children at home and all the responsibilities that entails. It does get easier after they leave the nest but it's hard to think that far ahead while right in the thick of it. Your outing looks like such a lovely day! Can't wait to see the big reveal :) I just ordered a bag, it is so cute!

Loved the bag- just ordered one! :) Very fun!

I have just ordered my Yarndale bag and looked at the exhibitor list. So exciting. I just need to look to see if there is any leave available at work. Fingers crossed and best start saving x

Anne Marie

Yes, just bought one. I would love to come over to Yarndale and have a night away but it seems an indulgent thing, rather than just driving over.

I,m so glad you are feeling better Luce :-) xxx
I bought a Yarndale bag this evening, I just love the Yarndale sheep !!
Loving your Liberty lined cupboard too, especially the cupboard door fastener, that little piece of wood that spins to secure the door brings back happy memories for me of my grandmas cupboards !

Lovely photos! That yarn looks so yummy! Hope you'll enjoy playing with it! I've been following your blog on and off, but since "life happens" a lot over here lately, I haven't had time to keep up with the blogs I read. May I ask you what brand of yarn you use? I'm doing some crocheting now and then, and when my kid was in hospital this week I got to finish some more of the granny squares I've been working on for a while. I'm using a Rowan wool cotton yarn. Gorgeous feel, lovely to work with, but oh so expensive...Hope to hear from you :-)

Think we have lots in common, I love pegging washing out on the line but not so keen on bringing it in because that means ironing and putting away!! Love your work you do, gorgeous colours. We used to live in a 200 year old cottage which was my dream home but my mum became very ill and we sold it to move in with her to look after her. Miss it so much and your photos remind me of my old home xxx

Amo ver seus posts. Como são lindas essas paisagens. E a fotógrafa tem muita sensibilidade para registrar tanta beleza. Um abraço

Glad you had a goo day and life is getting back to normal. Not long 'til the next Bank Holiday and then Half Term. Hoping some sunshine reaches you. It has been gloriously warm here in Sussex today. I ate lunch outside and crocheted in my garden. You can't beat it. Spring has arrived and the garden is catching up! :) x
PS - Loving that box of yarn - I'm quite envious! Although I have more yarn than hours in the day.

So glad you are feeling brighter. Fab pics - as always!

Oh I like the YD bag very much!

Are you making a snood? Loving that box of wool...very jealous, lucky you!

Glad you're feeling back on course and wow what a huge box of yarn, fab. Love the shots of the country side, I really feel we have turned a corner into Spring, the tree in leaf burst in our garden, I just can't wait for the Bluebells now :0)

Puppet Lady

Hope your day tomorrow is filled with sunshine, as mine has been today!

Susan Smith

Oh, the pics are lovely and make me homesick, as some of my lovely bloggers know. The inside of the cupboard looks great and its given my ideas for one of mine. Looking forward to see what you do with all that yarn.
