At the start of 2013 I made a private resolution, just between me and myself. I resolved to be On Time with my monthly mosaics this year, to make them happen bang at the end of each month like other organised bloggers do. Thing is, I have to accept that making schedules for my blog is pretty pointless these days. Everything happens quite spontaneously at Attic24, and I've grown to rather like it that way. So monthly round-ups may not in fact happen at the end of the relevant month, but they will happen at some unscheduled point in time. Usually at a time when I actually have time to pootle about with my photos and create the visuals.
It's a lovely thing to do mind you, to look back at the month that has just passed and celebrate it visually. It serves to jog the memory, to capture the essence of that time in the year, to be content with the look of life's Little Bits. After almost five years of writing about my life and making these monthly mosaics (yes five years, that's sixty months!!), I still really love to do it. It makes me happy, reeeeeeeeeeally happy.
I'm looking forward to the next sixty months.

Ps you can view all sixty of my MM's in one place if you like....you can have yourself a colourful Attic24 slideshow. There is a link to the mosaic album in my right sidebar, or go HERE to see.
Sixty! Wowsers.
I'm glad it makes you happy...because it certainly makes my day!!

Dear Lucy,
please don't be sorry about any "deadlines" or so... I do truly enjoy and completely adore your colourful sniplets & foto mosaics - no matter if or when they appear. No regular schedules - more surprises I'd say! I love your surprises!
Greetings
Antje

Such lovely hooky creations! The creative flow needs to run its course and sometimes it wants to take a little twist before continuing forward. I never seem to get organized for long either. I really want to make ripple blankets like the ones you've made, and there's really no end to the inspiration here. :)

Have been all over your blog and the thing that spoke to me was the pic of the fingerless mits holding the piece of found broken crockery. Love it all, though! xCathy

I love how your pictures seem to all fit a special color scheme... I'm rather new around here, but I hope I get to see 60 monthly mosaics more!

I have always loved your mosaics. I only wish my photos were as interesting so that I could do them too. I hope you never stop. I know I'll be around to look at them every month for as long as you make them. :)

Whoever said your mosaics would make a good calendar was right! I'd like to know how you make them? Is there a particular bit of software?

Beautiful colours Lucy!
I like how the mosaics frame all your usual crafting colours in white. Have you thought of using this mosaic frame as inspiration for a blanket? All edged in white? Using the colours from the pictures to use as guides for the granny colour blocks?

Even through the monochrome of the snow that we have had this year you have still found such wonderful colourful images to fill our screens. Thank you. Chel x

Who'd have thought dreary old January and February could be so darn colourful. Each time I sit down to make my monthly mosaics I silently thank you for the inspiration Lucy. Thank you x

Ooh just look at how lovely this year has been already! such creativity - how you have the time to do it, and then write about it, and even do tutorials about it, is beyond me. But thank you. I've not been with you for the full Five Years but I've so enjoyed the past couple of years :)
Long may you have the energy to continue! We'll be cheering you on.
Jones x
PS I might have to start doing this - such a lovely way of capturing what has been. What software do you use?
