About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. A very happy cosy and crafty new year to you and your family ... just love your posts they are just fab thank you x

Happy New Year! I love that you saw a rainbow too! It makes me happy to see all the rainbows on New Years day. A good sign for the year ahead, and I think everybody needs a good year!

Happy New Year to you all! I'm sure it will be a lovely one! xx

Looks beautiful - love all the moss/lichen, nature is truely amamzing!

Happy New Year to you and yours, Lucy. Today has been very bright and sunny here in West Norfolk, but a bit on the chilly side. I wish I had dragged myself and Himself out for a good walk , yours looks wonderful...mind you, so much more fun with Littlies along as well

I always feel the urge to crochet after reading your posts, but I am in the mdst of a flet frenzy at the moment - SO easy to applique with felt/wool, and I've just covered the top hat I wear when playing for the Molly Dancers...I think I miight have a few commissions on the way! But really, it's all about the colour. Which brings me back to your blankets and bags. Hope to see much more of your fab work, and hope 2013 is a great creative year for you. Lxxx

Happy New Year dear Lucy! Wishing you and your family everything the best! Many more colourful adventures !!!! We are also very happy and cheerful here in purple land :)

Many thanks and hugs from NYC

Happy New Year Lucy! I can't believe I didn't know how to crochet this time last year, but my old friend who now lives in Queensland pointed me in the direction of your blog and I've had so much enjoyment from seeing your ideas and following you for the last seven or eight months. Hope you and your family have a lovely 2013 with lots of fun and laughter. xx

Happy New Year Lucy! It's rainy and cold here in SC, USA. Our NewYears traditions include pork roast, black eyed peas, and collard greens! You must eat the greens for money and the peas for luck throughout the year! It smells yummy in my house as I snuggle up, crochet of course, and wait for our meal to slow cook its way to supper time! Wishing you a apply and healthy 2013!

Lucy, love your blog! You have probably answered this question a zillion times, so just point me to your answer if so ;-) I want to try crochet but have no idea where to start. Kits? Blogs? HELP. Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! What a lovely outdoorsy way to spend the first day of 2013. We've not had a drop of rain here in London today - hoorah! x

Happy New Year to you, Lucy! Just wanted you to know how much I look forward to your blog every day. Your hooky loveliness has inspired me to crochet some colorful blankets. Your descriptions of yarns used, your absolutely GREAT tutorials, etc. are THE BEST. I really appreciate your efforts... All my best from frigid Southern California...USA! Angie

We also went for a blustery cold walk and are now snuggled up at home, S is watching The Wizard of Oz and I'm catching up on blogs - after doing a few rows of crochet.

What a perfect way to start the new year. Winter is actually my favorite season. I do love to garden though & love ALL seasons very much but I love the peaceful restfulness of winter. I love staying inside with a good book, some hot tea & a fire while watching the birds swarm my feeder. They come in droves this time of year.

I always look forward to your posts!

Love Love Love your blog. It makes me smile even when I don't feel like it. Happy New Year to you and family. Are we going to see the pattern for your bird that you did while in France.

I love your photos, with that beautiful louring sky.
And how exciting for Little Man to find those crinoid fossils!

Best wishes for the New Year!
In your blog I always find some beautiful pictures and every time I remain fascinated by the stories of your daily life, thanks for sharing!

Happy new Year Lucy to you and your family, love your blog, it brings such happiness and inspiratiom x

No rain here this afternoon so I dragged my family out for a walk, not such a grand walk as yours just down by the river, those poor ducks looked frozen! I'm so glad I'm not a duck, then back for hot chocolate!
I have just finished another row of my blanket, I love the colours, but oh dear, this blanket addiction is going to prove a tad expensive!
Happy New Year Lucy, I hope it is one full of creativity and good things! :) x

très très bonne année lucy merci de colorer mon quotidien.

Hi Lucy.
I love reading your blog. You are such a wonderful, positive person, I look forward to your great crochet patterns and beautiful outlook on life and your photography - wow. What a beautiful place you live. More people should have your positive outlook on life. It is very refreshing. Your family is very lucky to have you. Happy New Years from Arizona.

Happy New Years, to you yours, way across the pond!!! Lovely photos!!!

Hello Lucy,
I wonder if you'd have any objection to me selling blankets based on your ripple pattern (I doubled the rows) for charity: water. I'm not working at the moment and looking for something to occupy my time. Wanted to do it for charity until I can sell enough to do it for myself. Whereupon, I will be creating my own designs! Thankyou so much for all your fabulous instructions. Your blog is amazing. Happy New Year.

Lovely photos. Have a wonderful NEW YEAR 2013!!!
