About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. Thanks for sharing the edging inspiration. I've just used this on my own blanket, I have linked back to you, hope that's ok

You have me hooked, I will be making a blanket this year. Thank you for always making me smile with your colourful blog.

it is gorgeius!
But I want to ask about something else.
In the fhoto "Little B snuggled up in the Big Chair"
there is adiferent bplanket, made frpm tiny Squares
I cant stop thinking about this one :-)
How was it done?

Thank you for your blog. It's given me much joy (and jealousy) over the past years that I've been reading it. It makes me want to take up my hook for some big projects (except that hooking hurts if I hook for more than 15 minutes)

Have a happy New Year, and I look forward to more hooky goodness from you.

Gorgeous! Really love the colors!

Thank you for the how to on the border! I'm going to give the border a try soon!

Lucy I so love this cozy comfy colorful cover! Your color choices amaze me and make me want to rush out and fill my home with bursts of color. Thank you for sharing your patterns, I really enjoy following.

So beautiful! Both the blanket and the story/memories attached to it are wonderful! This is truely the joy of handmade items - it's the thought, the time, the friends it brings and the memories it makes - just brilliant!

so beautiful.
Je suis fan !
Bonne année

Wow, this is so beautiful. This entire site is an inspiration, and feeling inspired and somewhat daunted, i want to start a blanket too. Can anyone point me in the dirrection of instructions for the Granny from the sofa. I love the colours, but struggle to get them looking good yet. Have only been crocheting a while so i'm trying to concentrate on the crochet and hope that the design will get better as i improve. Thanks so much

What an amazing and wonderful work! Thank you, reading your crochet adventures just make me feel happy. I wish you the best and a lot of yarn, Happy New Year♥♥♥

This blanket is extraordinary. It's vibrant. Congratulations.

This is beautiful! So colorful and cheerful.

If you divide the cost of your afghan by the number of hours you enjoyed creating it, it it really quite an inexpensive hobby - much cheaper than golf, horseback riding, beer drinking.... It is worth every penny. Also add to that
all the years you will enjoy using it. What a deal! Thank you for the enjoyment you give us all year round.

This is spectacular! :O)

Absolutely beautiful. Discovered your blog 2 days ago and I'm hooked (pardon the pun)! Haven't done any crochet in years, but I can see that's about to change. Saw a crocheted rug in the new February Prima, and thought of you, Im sure you could do one better!
Happy New Year to you and yours.

It's gorgeous!! Congrats on another job very well done. :)

This is so delightful!

Fabulous !! Love all the colors !

Gorgeous blanket, the colours really harmonise well. When I saw the first photo of the balls of yarn, they looked just lovely as they were, but crocheted up look even better.

I am curious about your hook also, is it homemade??

Wow, what a beauty! And so huge! I take my woolly hat off to you! xx

I am soooo glad you finally posted this! Been admiring your blanket in your photos and wondering when it would make an appearance! Also, thank you soooo much for the mini edging tutorial at the end - I'm in the middle of making my own ripple blanket and the edges are so messy, I had no idea where to start with it but yet again you have come to the rescue. Keep doing what you are doing, your blanket its beautiful. I hope it brings lots of pleasure xx
