Sharing some snap shots taken here and there across my weekend as I went about doing The Usual Stuff. Mothering, creating, relaxing, strolling, reading, slurping, prettifying, playing, snuggling, gazing. It's all so ordinary, the stuff I do most days as I go about the business of being a mum/wife/creative wotnot.
My blog most probably contains dozens of weekend picture-posts like this one, full of nothing in particular, yet full of everything that is Me. It's who I am, and it's what I do. And I wouldn't change it for the world.

Oh Lucy, I would be so wildly jealous of your life, if I didn't have such a similar, mommy/wifey/prettifying/hooky life of my own (which, by the way, I love mine, too!) You have been an inspiration since I stumbled across you on Pinterest and am currently creating a ripply blanket of my own! The colors are more peaceful and oceany, inspired by the bag you made for your friend. I receive complements all the time on the pattern and colors and they all belong to you. Well, mostly ;-) Thank you, my new hooky friend!

I like these moments of an .... usual and "normal" life!

I miss the simplicity of small children.. a walk to the park would make their day, just putting on wellies and going and jumping in the big puddles. Now they look at me with their teenage eyes and call me crazy, but I still want to jump in puddles and tromp through autumn leaves. PS Christmas Wreath.. if you put a little bit of polystyrene safe glue on the pin before you push it in, they will stick.

hi lucy!
it's been sooooo long since i have posted or since you have heard from me last. i want to just peek in and say hello... am LOVIN the hat (i have made quite a few but never for myself actually... hmmmm time to change that) and have to say i am very impressed with your new bay window. now this may sound strange but there is a reason for this... i see too many houses with a character that is often destroyed with renovations made because the owners do not pay attention to details. your window has some beautiful little details, perfect for your lil victorian place. i do peak in from time to time as i find a minute to check in on you. lots going on in my life, new and exciting and at times also a bit trying but hopefully by the holidays, we will be able to enjoy some peace and quiet and get somewhat, what one could call "normal"... LOL if you only knew!
hugs to you and wishes for a wonderful sunday to you and your lil family...
