Been waiting for our very first strawberry to reach perfect ripeness. That day was yesterday and I shared the experience with Little Man. That single fruit was completely, unbelievably delicious and worth the wait. I SO wish there were a hundred more.
Little B continues his stint of early wake ups. Four-forty-five this morning, hence him requiring an afternoon nap. He built this nest of cushions and blankets especially for himself, took a lot of care with it's construction, then sweetly crawled in amongst it all to rest. I SO wish I could've done the same.
Our days are shortening at an alarming rate as we plummet into Autumn here. The good thing about that is that I get to witness the sunrise at a reasonable hour of the day (seven-twenty). The light and beauty in the sky took my breath away this morning, it was glorious. I SO wish it was still Summer though. Sorry, but it's true.
I continue to pick these sweet little posies of flowers from my back yard, yippee!! The nasturtiums, geraniums and sweet peas are looking a little windswept but still pretty good for October. I adore having them beside my bed, they make me really happy. I SO wish for a good nights sleep tonight, I've not been having my usual deep, luxurious dead-to-the-world shut eye of late and I miss it.
Things here are fine, thank you SO MUCH for all your words of kindness on my last post. I am still snowed under with a heap load of must-do's this week (I go away on Friday) and many things demanding my attention, but I am feeling a little easier about stuff. Just a little.
I wish I could give you all a big hug. This blog and your friendship means the world to me. Thank you so much for visiting, reading and chatting back to me.

Hey Lucy, how is it possible that strawberries can be picked in October in Yorkshire? Your magic touch must be very, very strong. Bravo.
Best wishes to you with all that you have got going on now and planned for the future.

Isn't it nice to watch the sun rise? We've had some beautiful skies this past week and some good sun sets too- they are getting closer and closer together at an alarming rate. Though 4.45 is a wee bit early even for sunrise watching....sleep well tonight!

Sending you bright wishes to feel better.
:-)
I have two roses in the yard, and Autumn has been speedily approaching here also. If I could, I'd send them to you.
Happy Thoughts,
:-)

Everytime I see your blog update in my reader, I smile. Even when you're having a trying time, you are inspiring. My first Lucy pack came today and I'm anxiously awaiting lunchtime to have the time to open it and savor. What will I make? There are so many possibilities with this new past-time of crochet. Of course, I could just decide to knit something, but part of getting the Lucy pack was to try something crocheted! Thanks for bringing a smile to my face.
(((hugs)))

I love trees and am forever taking pictures of trees. I would be forever happy to own one. Where might I find these? I also wanted to say good luck on your trip! I hope that you have a great time and enjoy!

Isn't Little B the sweetest guy all snuggled up under his blankets and pillows! How thoughtful of him to put himself to 'bed' :)

It's so difficult to be positive when sleep deprived, but that sunrise must have helped.
Glad to hear you got to enjoy your strawberry, the birds in my garden seem to get to them before me!
Good luck on Friday, I am sure you will have an amazing time. I shall think of you as I craft or crochet away in the evenings with the heating on here! x
