About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

**********Hi Lucy, I can so feel all of the fun that your children are having!!! Building the Fort, and building great memories. I have been trying to have you contact me about a crochet pattern for quite sometime now. I have a pattern that I would like to send to you and think it would be great for your next project. If you could e-mail me, I would love to send it to you.

What a lovely post, so joyful. Thank you for sharing your holiday with us, it's many years since I visited York, and I think I must visit again. And you make me want a Connie van of my own!

This is what a holiday should be like ... spending quality time with each other and having tons of fun. Long may they last. :)

Lovely post Lucy....i loved reading it while drinking my morning cappuciano here in the states.
I was looking at an Cath Kidston email this morning and thought of you when i saw the red sneakers with white spots on them. I think if you don't already have a pair, you must get them!

Perfect! We have a maze locally, this year it's an olympic them for us.

Every time I read your post...I get so drawn in...you really should write short stories. The way you write takes me right there with you. Thanks for the holiday. Would love to visit your country some day also.

I love all the pics, Lucy, but what stands out so much to me is what a wonderful mom you are.

Love, love, love your photos!!

Seeing your adventures in and around York has decided me that we have to take our little man there soon. I just love that the Maze changes every year. It sounds like a fab place to visit.

I was staying in a caravan recently and looking around all I could think was that it really needed the Lucy treatment. So I fetched out my crochet hooks and hooked up a blanket for the sofa. :)

Thanks for sharing!

I love camping too and my tent always feels like 'home'. It was lovely to see your trip, and the excellent weather you had, and makes me wish I could go away somewhere fun like that right now! :)

Glad you had a lovely time, caravan holidays just can't be beat! Beautiful photos of a special time which you & your children will look back on with very fond memories in the years to come :)

Elizabeth de Sousa Pinto

Wow, what a beautiful trip!
Thank you for taking us along!

You picked a good time to visit - my friend who lives in York has been a bit concerned about how many times it has flooded so far this year! I love being able to wander around York, but the museums have a special place in my memories from all the times I was taken as a child :) The Castle Museum is the best!
