Fab fab post, lovely to read.
I've done craft swaps through Mumsnet a couple of times - it's so exciting getting a lovely handmade gift in the post, and I miss it.

Your bag is on my list of things to make - any chance you could add a word or two to the tutorial about adding a lining? The thought terrifies me!

Have a great holiday x

Bari Jo

This was such a fun post! I think your bag is beautiful! And the necklace is too - it looks lovely on you! I like the length, etc. I love the little flowers, too! What a sweet, fun surprise! Thank you for sharing about her - I am looking forward to checking out her blog/etsy shop and dreaming! :O) Have a fun trip!

Becky

Ohhh, lucky you to have such a pretty necklace that is so totally you! And the bag!! Oooooo, the bag is breathtaking! I love love love the liner with the perky dotted lace! Would you be kind enough to share some tips on creating and sewing a liner to a crocheted bag?

Your blog is a gem - so full of warmth and cheer, and you're so generous to share your life, crafts and recipes with us readers! :)

They're both very lovely!Isn't the web wonderful, connecting people!Have a fab time away :)

Hardly worth putting a comment as you will have gone to sleep after reading all the others! (Not out of boredom, I hasten to add!!)

But couldn't let it go by without saying how beautiful your necklace and earrings are, so very very covertable! And the bag you made is gorgeous too - two very satisfied customers! Cathy (Potter Jotter) did a similar when I commissioned some pieces for my Kiwi family and we did part-exchange with one of my beach hut cushions which she in turn had been covetting! What goes around comes around, I think it is a super way of working out a transaction to the satisfaction of all concerned! Have a lovely holiday - the weather seems to be favouring you!

Dear Lucy what a wonderful story! The necklace and bag are beautiful
and very personal to you both. I to have enjoyed the articles on the sheds in CL. Seeing your bag design in different colours and and with a different trim
is amazing. CL should be doing an article on you! When the series finishes on ladies and their sheds how about Ladies and their attic creative spaces.
Enjoy the seaside with your family.xx

handmade really is the best....the thought behind a handmade gift is only surpassed by the beauty of the gift itself.

Adore your bag!! It is stunning, love the lining. I was wondering if, at some stage, you would be think about doing a photo tutorial on making the lining for this bag? I have made the bag but struggled so much with the lining...I would be soooooooooo grateful if you would do a tutorial on how to cut and sew the lining in. please? with a cherry on top?
