Dear Lucy

Nice days off, beatiful photos and nice place to visit. You are starting the springtime for me the most pretty season. Here in Chile we are starting the fall the leaves started to fallen down the trees, is a perfect season for crocheting at home during my free time after work and sports.

Thank you for sharing us a part of your life.

Mónica

Lori

Oh those lovely holiday snaps Lucy. I love that part of the world too. In fact last time I was at West Bay the wind was so strong we nearly got blown away!!!

Yes there is something about the sea. I used to visit Portland (by Weymouth) regularly and the first thing I used to do was to walk along Chesil Beach and always had to go to Portland Bill before leaving. I'm sure little peeps loved it all.

Skipi

When I saw your pictures, just told myself that I should go to Dorset for a weekend away from London

Ellie

I've just been reading all the comments on this lovely post and realising just how lucky I am to live here! Perhaps I take it for granted just a little too often? We popped to West Bay one afternoon last week because the little people love the play park there. I love the pink house on the beach.
Looking forward to seeing where you went next.

We lived in Dorset (between Poole and Blandford) before moving here to Wales. It is a beautiful county, with a wonderful coastline, and I miss it still.

Wendy

It looks like despite the weather you had a lovely holiday looking forward to days 3,4,5, 6 and 7 - can't wait x

Sarah

Hi Lucy,
Such wonderful pictures of West Bay hope the weather was better the rest of the week that you had down here. Have you seen Bridport by Night on You tube? I think you would like it as it includes your favourite boats.

I can smell the salt air and boat-y smells when I look at your lovely pictures. Childhood memories flooding back.

Natalie

I used to go out with my dad in his fishing boat from West Bay - but I haven't been to Bridport or West bay for years, though we're not a million miles away. I must take my Little People there this summer :)

Jackie

Thanks so much for sharing, could not be a boring thing to see, being in the United States, Michigan, this is something I would most likely never see if it wasnt for your beautiful pictures!

i love your connoisseurship of grey and wet beach delights, the sense of smell, gull, spray and then coming in for warmth, breakfast, and raindrops on the windowpanes. that sense of being out in it, and then coming home. ahhh.

Kate

Our West Bay crabbing record- 91 crabs. We need to try to beat it this Summer.

Maggie

You had a great time!! Great photos.

Oh, I am another sea lover. With nose to the ground in the sand, looking for those tiny treasures to take home. I bought a flat plate with a small edge and put all my findings on display on a small table. It gives me joy when I walk past and have a quick peek. The simple things of life, found at the sea.
Loved your pictures, thanks for sharing your vacation.

Love the pink house! Looks like you've all had a lovely time ... That's what memories are made of xx

Amy

I know just how you feel about the dear boats, and I was tickled to read about your "salty me-time," lying on the beach and listening to the waves and gulls. I can almost smell it. Thank you for sharing these lovely photos and memories! I'm looking forward to Days 3 and 4.
