Hello!

About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Stunning!!!

I'm guessing from the picture of the canal that you live somewhere like Hebden Bridge or similar? Not that I'm stalking you I hasten to add, it's just that the scenery looks so familiar. You're a lucky gal!

Great post :)

Kathy

Just found your blog. Lots of fun to read. Wondered do you get your crochet hooks? What is your favorite size? Thanks. Kathy

I've never really thought of myself as much of a bright-color-person, but often when I look through your photos I think maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I am a bright-color-person, way down deep inside. :)

Kris

Ever so comforting! Love the apron...and love all the sweet photos of life!

I came to visit from a link on FarmGirlSam's blog. 20 pictures for a day, what a great idea! I loved seeing them and getting to see things from a different part of the globe. I love the daffodils by your bed!

Laura

Lucy, I have been feeling terrible lately - full of doom and gloom. Catching up on your blog this morning while the rest is still in bed, has cheered me up no end. You are such a warm, happy person and made me realise that all the little things amount to soooo much. Thanks a million!!

Gillie

Gorgeous :~)

Beth

Beautiful as usual! Just wanted to let you know I linked to your flower pattern in my most recent post.

Miaou

Ah, beautiful! What a lovely day.

Katie

Such a beautiful collection of photos and a lovely idea for a blog post. I might try my own version...with a lesser number and a different day! Thanks for sharing.

Dear Lucy, So happy to have found you and your upbeat world. May I suggest another website that is a happy place: http://www.susanbranch.com/
You inspire me, expand my world, and just generally brighten up my day. Thank you.

So how does one pay homage to the 'inspiration' called Lucy? I have a picture I'd like to share with you, of an original piece of work made by me for my grand daughter....where your 'teeny tiny flowers'...go Large!

Please email me and I'll send a image of my
'sun brelly'....

With mutual respect for privacy of course. I am sending all those who inspired me for all the 'bits' that make up this fabulous, fun, life changing piece a 'Thank YOU!'

Copying is vulgar....stealing is innovation!

lol that makes me laugh but really it is canadian copyright law! Who knew!! So therefore,

I feel I must honor those who I stole from!

Do you have a list of the magazines you get on a regular basis? I always drool over the magazine pics that you post, and I am always left wanting when I look through the magazines on the shelf in our supermarket.

Nicole

What a wonderful, sunny Tuesday you have had. Gorgeous pictures. Wishing you a lovely sunny weeked. Nicole xxx

Hi Lucy!
What a bright and lovely Tuesday! All that color reminds me of Gudrun Sjödén! She has a colorful heart like you!

Linda

Lucy, what a glorious day you had.

I have been a secret follower of yours for years. I love taking a break from my absolutely manic life to peep into yours- so calm and serene. I have recently been off work, and have enjoyed a sort of calm pace too, rather than grabbing a quick pit stop and being disappointed that it doesn't last longer. Thankyou for showing me that the little things in life are more precious than big things- and that you don't always need money obtain them. I had forgotton. xxxx

Allyson

Lovely.

Thanks for adding some colour and peace to my otherwise blah day.

Bless you!

I'm afraid I'm addicted to your posts! Read them with my morning tea, before the house is awaken...And I'm a little bit sad when ther's no new one...Not that I'd want to put you under pressure!!!;-)Anyway,thank you for sharing!

beautiful photos of the countryside. It makes me so homesick. I moved to Brisbane Australia nearly 36 years ago, but I still yearn for the north of England. I'll be back for a visit in June with my Australian husband who has not been to the UK before....When I went out to put my rubbish in the bin the other night the moon was smiling brightly, just like in your photo. Take care

Looked like your Tuesday was pretty perfect Lucy. Isn't it great now the clocks have changed, don't you feel lifted?
