About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

These colours are so singy and lovely. What is is about bunting that is so addictive? I don't know why it should be, but whether it's crochet, paper or fabric there's something so cheering and happy about it and it's so satisfying to make. Love the idea of the rose interspersed version. Hope you will give us an inspirational peek in due course! Happy playing whenever opportunity knocks!

ooooooo Lucy, I am looooving those stickers...xxx

I'm intrigued to see what you are going to do with that teeny bunting! I love it when the school routine starts again, I appreciate the order it gives the days. And it makes me appreciate the weekends more!

They say that men never grow up - but in fact when it comes to stationery for some reason I always feel like a child again - I just love all the pretty designs, and why or why do I need another dotty, spotty, flowery, stripey notebook? Those stickers are really lovely but I would definitely have to hide them in my house otherwise they would find themselves in my daughter's stash! Happy sticking and crafting.

Aww I love to watch sleeping tots, they look so peaceful. Happy bunting making!

As a Seattle resident, I totally understand your need to be surrounded by color, especially when the weather is overcast and grey which it is here much of the fall and winter. I visit your blog to feast off your wonderful creativity combined with stunning color arrays. Thank you for brightening my world.

Pretty, pretty, pretty! LOVE the stickers. I've noticed you seem choose a rainbow of colours each time... do you like rainbows? I do. I don't always choose a rainbow of colours, but I love that you keep your home bright and cheery. Your posts always seem so welcoming. Thanks for that. :)

I wish I had a wool shop like yours near by.... and I live in Malaysia!!!!

Now, what is the probability that a blogger in the North of England would receive a package from Malaysia, and post a photo of the lovely stamps from the package, and that the middle stamp would show a delicious tropical fruit that grows in Malaysia, and that an admiring reader in South Florida would happen to be eating that tasty, juicy fruit, which also grows in South Florida, while reading the blog post?! We are linked all over the world. (If you have never tried a star fruit, I hope you can someday; it is delicious.)

hahahaa! I'm signing, "Brown paper packages tied up with strings. These are a few of my favorite things!"

Lucy you look like you are discovering the wonders of papercrafting too! It could be a dangerous area to foray into knowing your love of pretty things!

I have some sets of washi stickers I was given recently that I haven't properly had time to look at ... I must open them up and see if any of mine are like yours ... aren't they fun!
