You live in a beautiful area. I enjoyed your review of January with all the pics. Such wonderful blessings in life.

What are those delicious looking chocolatey balls and hearts on top of the hot chocolate on the right? They look scrumptious, but I've never seen them before, other than the little hearts you put on your Christmas gingerbread cake. Where can I buy them? By the way, your post made my day.

Elizabeth Hansen

Your crocheting is lovely, scrumptious colors, appreciate your ripple instructions! Photos of your area/town are delish! MUCH more interesting than Pennsylvania, USA! Will check in again to see what you are crocheting!

A beautiful summary -- what a treasure for your family! I have a lot of "shelves of doom" type projects waiting for me this year (15 minutes at a time;) Your perseverance encourages me and nudges me on.

Lovely post, I am following your lead and putting photos of my many calendars onto my blog, seems a shame to keep them to myself!

Hi Lucy! I love your monthly round ups, its so good to review the things we've created and achieved. I've been reading your blog for nearly a year now and I have ploughed through a large portion of your archives and I just love it! You are so so inspiring and checking your blog each day is my guaranteed pick me up! You also gave me the push to take up crochet again - I give you and attic24 the credit in my own blog :) Anyway just thought it was about time I said hello! Hope you are feeling better!

Lovely visual treat. Just skimmed it so far via my phone but I'm looking forward to curling up after the children are in bed and taking in all your lovely pictures properly. I have view envy when I see your shots from the attic window. I can see hills but there's a bloody great chemical plant in front of them! gotta love Teesside!

Kate

I'm trying to break the Christmas chocolate habit...uphill work and I know it will all go to pot again come Easter!
It has been grey this month, but the glimpses of sun and colour at dawn and dusk have helped- and it is even getting noticeably lighter in the mornings now.
Good for you keeping up the house stuff- I have vowed to go through all the paper this month, filing cabinet, pile of 'useful' envelopes...the lot!

Nikki Relffe-Arnold

Fantastic post Lucy - I found you just over a year ago and couldn't crochet at all then and following your simple to follow tutorials I am now quite good! (check out my latest blanket I just finished!). now all I have to do is to learn to take fab photos like yours! Nikki x

rosanne

You've managed to make my morning a bright one, once again! Good job

i love to think that the stars in the sky over your cul de sac are the same ones over mine.

I just love your blog. If you were to write a book or bring out a magazine, it would be an instant hit! I love your warm, cozy, natural life and the sweet images you share. Thanks for brightening my day. (although at the moment we are well into our summer here with temperatures well into their 30 degrees celious.)

Rachel

Just lovely...I particularly love the starry night picture. That hill looks like it's good for thigh firming...maybe I should move away from my flat bit of the south!

Crochet with Raymond

looks like a beautiful month from here! Loving your January mosaic, so full of colour and happiness, I believe you are combatting the weather with happy coloured goodness!
Have a brilliant start to Feb XXX

Lovely post. Hope you're feeling better. Maggie xx

I've missed the Ideal Homes calendar this year - I absolutely loved last year's and the October photo of ducks on the doorstep is my all time fav calendar photo of last year. I did get one printed from our collies to my husband so that's a good reminder of favourite times from last year. It's great to have an extra hour of daylight, or thereabouts but boy, it's chilly!

Julie

A lovely round up of your month.
We have a canal boat moored close to us and I love the smell coming from the chimney when I pass over the bridge into the village, I'd love to have a sneak peek inside and see if there is a lovely lady in there up to her ears in wool and crafting supplies...... Wishful thinking!

Katri

Cold... yes. -29°C today :D
