Hello Lucy, I'm Italian, mother, wife and nurse, I know knitting, crochet, embroidery, lace, tatting and macramè.I love much your blog. In a few months since it will change the house and is "my house", I will copy some things from you, if you do not mind. I also started a game, a swap granny squares and in return will send magazines, thread or fabric depending on who the participants of the hobby. If you like I would be honored to participate. I wish you a Happy New Year to you and your family, especially your beautiful children.Kiss Rossella

Simply stunning...the colors are so very vibrant!

Mary

Happy New Year to you and yours. I love coming to your blog knowing I will find lots of color (colour). Grew up in UK but live in US. I love fresh flowers in the home, but it is tough to find anything here but the standard fare of mostly uninspired groupings. I do miss the variety of flowers that I use to see in the market stalls of my youth.

I love ALL flowers too. Even the "weeds" my Girls would pick for me when they were small:).I just finished"picking" some daffodils,(crocheted). You can see them on my Flickr account(angela8626)if you like. Our weather here is so topsy turvey lately. The poor flowers don't know what to do.We have cherry trees and forsythia bushes blooming. I noticed some sand hill cranes going south yesterday(very late) and had snow last night!Just a dusting, so school was still a go this morning. Can't wait for the hooky stuff.HAve a good one!

Hannah from Plumbs

Beautiful flowers - I like the red tulips accented by the polka dot tray - very country chic!

Beautiful Lucy, such a wonderful array of colours, I can almost smell the scents. I think you might have started me off on something. I was never really a flower person before, but I think I am going to start putting some on our kitchen table to bring joy in the house.

Thank you

Lovely stuff Lucy.
I've just bought a bunch of hyacinths so I can pretend it's nearly Spring!!
Looking forward to finding out what you have in store for tomorrow.

ellab

jUST GORGEOUS. Would make a lovely calender. I would love those pictures on my wall.

Nanita

Ohhh wow, a complete high indeed! Just what I needed on this cold, grey morning! :-)

Roseyjay

I just have to totally agree with you and write a note to self to have more flowers in the house and to grow more flowers for the house.
Happy New Year

Tasha

Thank you for posting such colourful flower photos today. It's such a dark, windy and stormy day that looking at them has cheered me no end!

My new year resolution is to be brave and leave a comment here :) Have loved looking at your blog and enjoying all the colour you bring to the everyday.

Nadia

Aaaahhhh, colourful floral bliss! I love it :) I'd love more flowers in my home but my 2 year old always finds a way to get them and wreck them - as only 2 year olds can!! Looking forward the hooky goodness tomorrow!

StasaLynn

Your blog inspires me and I love all the color you share and bring into the world!

Laura

Oh Lucy you are sooooooooo right! I try to always have fresh flowers in my dining room if I can (not always possible here because of the heat)! I truly believe flowers are free medicine for the heart and soul and there is nothing like the sight of an old jam jar crammed to bursting with colour from the garden....lol xxx

Lynn Koeppen

So lovely. I need to fill my life with more flowers. You are an inspiration!

Kay G.

Your fresh flowers always look so pretty, I am happy that you photograph them so I can enjoy them too! Thank you!

Carla

Seeing all these pretty flowers made me grin. I'm now excited to start my garden for the spring!

Shelley in SC

You have inspired me to tuck flowers here and there around the house . . . not just stuff them all in one big bunch. So lovely to bring color all over the house!

Louise

Fabulous! I love your photos of flowers, they bring such joy.

TicTacTo

Where, oh where do you find the time to post such lovely year reviews, that makes ones heart go skippertheskip. You're an amazing mother of three!

Teegan

I love the flowers, but I think I enjoy looking at the jugs and bottles you put them in just as much. Looking forward to tomorrow's post!

Rebecca

Lucy, seems we all love the color, especially in the dead of winter. Always looking forward to your next post. Got my hooks back out and bought colorful yarn, can blame it all on you, lol. I'm not very good at it, but you make it sound so easy, so I'm trying again. I just love all the things you have made.
Happy New Year to you. Thanks for taking time out of your day to bring color to OURS.
Rebecca

Helen

how lovely to have all that colour to look back on

Carol

You put me in the mood to buy flowers for my wee house. We're building though and I fear they would not last long in all the dust, I shall just have to get busy in the garden instead. Thanks for your entertaining blog, I'm looking forward to following you in 2012.
