I can't tell you how much fun I always have putting these photo collections together, it's so visually full-on that it leaves me feeling on a complete high. If you've been reading my blog for any length of time, you'll know just how much I love having fresh flowers in the house. Week after week, month after month, they bring me such unconditional happiness.
The flowers I choose to buy are nearly always seasonal (not always possible, but I do try), and I think it's a wonderful way to celebrate the journey through the year. Spring bulbs, summer flowers, home-grown posies, dahlias, then rounding off with hyacinths and winter tulips. All gorgeous. I'd be hard pushed to choose a favourite flower or a favourite floral time of year, but I think the little bottles of home-grown flowers tweak my heart strings just a bit more than all the rest. They are the essence of summer months (my favourite time of year) and I am always smitten with them. Although my passion for dahlias grows more each year. Oh and the hyacinths too......well, I just love them all really.
If you're in the mood for some more floral eye candy, you can go and feast on last years offerings if you like. Oh, and 2009 too. Don't over do it though. There's hooky stuff coming tomorrow, and I want your full attention for that little lot ;o) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I love your page, thank you very much!!!!

I agree with ella b---your flower photos (all of your photos, actually!) would make a lovely calendar, much better than anything that I've seen in the stores. Wishing you and your family a wonderful New Year!

Happy New Year, Lucy! Thought it was about time I introduce myself since I have started refering to you as my friend from England when I am telling about some inspirational tid bit I have learned from you.
I heard about you blog in September from my friend, Mary, and have been enjoying you sharing a window into your world since then.
I am a stay at home mom of three. Two guys in college/law school and one sweet daughter in middleschool. We live on the west side of Cleveland in what I like to call my city cottage. Small three bedroom one bath bungalow built in 1934.
I have been crafting since childhood. Enjoy, crocheting, drawing, papercrafting, thriftstoring, baking and visiting with friends.
I find your style refreshing and appreciate how you share your talents as well as your ability to honestly share your struggles. Many thanks!

Just stumbled across your blog and I'm so happy I did! Can't wait to hear about your year ahead.I too love to bring fresh flowers into the house. As a stay at home mum, all out-goings have to be accounted for, but I always make sure there's money in the pot for flowers on a Friday! Happy new year! Lx
