About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Hi Luce.. from across the globe in Oregon. I hope your son is better soon.. kids usually bounce back faster. Loved seeing the sunny green-ness of your park. Makes me want to go for a walk. Just a few days before the big day. I'm all set.. having gotten my hubby a few surprises today.

i think it must be the season because my friends and i have been super emotional lately too!

Saying a prayer for your little man. Enjoy your blue skies, we are socked in under a fog inversion here, very unusual for this time of year. Good thing there are cozy blankets and warm cups of cocoa, or I would be quite cranky!

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas

sure hope your little man rallies soon; no time is a good time to be sick, but the holidays are really not a good time (I've a grandson under the weather now--and it just makes us all slightly sad.) Cozy under those wonderful grannies!

I hope the bairn is better soon and in time for santy coming.

I am counting the days till we can light our fire, just had the chimney lined and have to put the fireplace back then cosiness awaits!

Hope your little guy is feeling better quickly. Merry Christmas!

Dear Lucy.
Here in Italy winter is bright, but has started to put snow on the north and south.
Here in Tuscany the weather is still beautiful even if it's pretty cold.
I do not have a fireplace .. but they will buy next year, is an old idea!
I love your crochet:) I hope you visit me in my blog. I wish you a merry Christmas and a good 2012

Hope your little man feels better soon. Merry Christmas to you and your family.<3

So nice to stumble across this blog. So cheery and it calms me and reminds me of what is really important. Thanks for sharing with us. I can't wait to peek at the archives when I have time. I hope little man starts feeling better soon. Poor thing!

Lucy, so sorry your little one is still under the weather. I will keep him in my prayers, and by the way Silent Night and What Child is This? always make me tear up.

Lindo. Feliz Natal.

the sight of your mountain always makes me happy, in every weather.

here's a wonderful poem by coleridge about cold crisp silent nights, and his wishes for the baby sleeping beside him.

thank you for all the sunshine on cloudy days you've brought to me this year.

merry christmas to all, and to all a good night.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas

Hope little man recovers in time for Sunday's festivities - isn't it awful when the little peeps are unwell and you can't do anything much, other than watch their little body fight, to make them better :( Have a lovely Christmas- best wishes to all! X

I hope Little Man feels better soon. Poor guy...

Hi Lucy, It is certainly looking beautiful in your part of the world, sorry you little man is still unwell, hope he is bright by Christmas. Have a merry Christmas with your family, snug and warm at number 24. xxBrenda

Your walk on such a crisp bright day looks to have been lovely. I hope all your family are well and better for Christmas. Keep the fire lit and stay cosy! ( I look forward to your next post with decoration photos) x

I always have trouble keeping the emotions in check at carols/nativity time.
Do hope your young man is feeling better soon.
Have a lovely cosy Christmas.

Oh poor little sausage I hope he is better very soon,,,,,definitely in time for Santa!!!
I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas Day and I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you for being such an inspiration to me and obviously so many other people around the world.
Thanks to your beautiful, colourful crochet I have been determined to push on and learn the art of crochet. This year I have completed a large blanket which my hubby claimed as his own, a scarf for by step daughter and am almost finished a scarf of my own (this last one has been unpicked several times as something keeps going wrong with my ripple pattern lol....I am just going to finish it and put it down to a learning scarf. I love the colours but the ripple has somehow disappeared over the last 5-6 rows lol, oh well)
So thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!

I hope you have a very Merry Christmas Lucy, despite Little Mans illness...Bless him :o(
Take care now, and wrap up warm all of you :o)

Winter bright days really are the best. And such a bright post in celebration of them. Hope Little Man feels better soon x
