About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Dear Lucy,

Happy New Year to you and your loving family!
I hope you continue to write your blog, because it brings such a joy to read your fragments of life, and to look at your colourful creations of every day. I adore your blog, and as other readers already mentionned: you bring love and hapiness for those who need just that little extra.

Big thank you from Belgium

Hi Lucy
I've just bought you a coffee - and, if you were to take the medium sized option you may have enough left over to purchase one of those coffee shop wafer biscuits that sticks to the roof of your mouth!

Just a quick note to say thanks for your blog - not only did you once inspire my bf Jane (off of the teawaggon) to crochet, but she has since taught me as a gift for my 40th and I have since taught my little sister (the basics).

This Christmas hols I have committed to getting
to grips with more than just the basics and popped back over to yours to make me a little something. My creation (with nod to you) is on my
current blog post - I'm fairly sure you'll approve.

It's so generous of you to share your talents - and I 'll be back to borrow some more of your patterns now I'm past the granny square stage.

Thanks again - I look forward to seeing what you create in 2012 and what you get up to just up the road from us.

I discovered your blog this year (2011) and have been an avid reader ever since. You've inspired me to learn to crochet and the color you radiate is gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing it all! Happy New Year!

Sue

I don't quite recall how I first stumbled across your blog Lucy, but I am very glad I did. Really enjoy your posts and tutorials - all the best for 2012.

Thank you for having this blog. This has been my greatest inspiration this year. I fell in love with all the colors. I am looking forward to seeing what this new year brings to your blog!

Celeste

Happy new year! I was directed to your blog by a friend the other day, and I think I've scanned back through the entire thing over the past few days (not a stalker, honest!). I've bookmarked so many of your patterns for inspiriation, ordered a pack of rainbow coloured yarn, and I think I NEED a twig tree in my house! Thank you, your blog makes me feel so happy just looking at it! Here's to a colourful 2012.

Christine

What a beautiful overview of your year. I've enjoyed recognising moments in it! I agree with you about the comforting nature of the cycle of the year. It's strange how at the very same time things seem the same, and yet children grow up and things are always changing. Thanks for your lovely blog and for being you! I hope 2012 brings you and your family every good thing.

April

Happy New Year!! I don't get a lot of time for blog reading, but I am completely taken in by your color selections. You have quite an eye for mixing color. Recently you mentioned The Flylady and it reminded me how much I have been wishing to return to FLYing. Thank you for the inspiration to start over again. Many blessings to you and yours from sunny Texas.

Bonnie

lovely photos! I did the same to document my year! (go take a peek!) Thanks for sharing your life with us, it is always lovely to pop in on your delightful blog! I love the warmth, homeliness, charm and color that emulates from your blog!

Kathy Basson

Lovely blog and goodies! Love to know what camera you use?

Hilary

Happy New Year to you too ~ many thanks for the joy and brightness you share here ~ it is always a pleasure to pop into the Attic :)
