About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Love the wellies! Did you know that you have been featured on Craftgossip.com? It's your trims on the jars that has been featured! Love your blog! It's always so colorful and is the high point in my day!
Hugs from across the ocean.....

I love your pennants. If turned upside down and a few details added, they would make cute houses, even gingerbread houses.

Hi Lucy! Just wanted to tell you that I've mentioned - and linked - to your lovely blog in my latest post. I've been making Cheesy Nibbles you see... I'd love you to stop by.

Oh, and 'blessings' sounds pretty well perfect to me! And it would suit you perfectly with all your 'blessings' in every way! xxx

Hello Lucy,I have so many things 'lady beetle' and you guessed it, a swatch watch with lady beetles, even a lady beetle dashing around as the second hand! How cute is that! Yours and mine would look perfect together, though I've never seen someone wearing two watches at once, unless they were so rushed they forgot they'd already put one on!! lol! My daughter is in the UK too and finds the afternoon has disappeared too fast. And to be eating in the dark at 5.30pm is almost too much! It makes the night LOnnnnnnnnnnnNG! BTW - I'm working on my ripple :-) and loving it! xx

I love your scarf, the bird in your planted pot (on the mantel) and your wonderful pennants!! What fun holiday decorating! Thanks for the uplifting post, oh I also LOVE your wellies.Have a good rest of your week.

I wish I didn't have ginormous feet! I love the wellies...

For your lovely bunting, I like Yuletide, but here's another suggestion to throw into the hat: WINTER JOY

I love all your goodies, Amiga Lucy. Enjoy them! I'm inspired by your advent stars bunting, and hopefully soon I'll have mine. What about feast of Christmas, for your new bunting, then you have to make only 16 letters. ;o) Anyway, Yuletide will be shorter, or you can try "Feliz Navidad", I'd looove to make that one with felted letters.
Take care, Hasta Luego,
Gloria x

Knit stripe wellies are now on their way to drought stricken north Texas - may they work their magic as they join my somber work-a-day Danish pair and my burberry plaid pair.
THANKS for the picture and inspiration. (They're my birthday present, from AND to me!)

Gloomy outside, but oh so lovely and colourful inside! x

Lovely post. Those little houses next to your fabulous bunting are just so cute! I keep missing the Yorkshire show, I must must put it in my diary for next year and start saving my pennies!!

Love your site - I am currently stitching up a lovely ripple baby blanket with your wonderful pattern - thank you!

The PRESENTS! gave me a giggle but I think I vote with your kids - AWESOME would be a pretty cool (awesome) bunting to have over the winter months...I think when the darkness of winter brings moods down - looking at AWESOME hanging from your mantel would sure to bring a smile :)

Love your wellies and new watch (oh, and the scarf, obviously!) - it sounds like you've been having fun! I have a pincushion made from the EcoFi felt and it's wonderful, thanks for the reminder that I need to buy some! Can't wait to see the ta da post for your crocheted bunting!

Hi Lucy,

Love how you are getting into the spirit! I also love those little house shapes that you crocheted for your banner. Could you do a post on the pattern or a link to the pattern. Would love to make some! Thanks and hugs.....

I love, love, love your new Wellies. So cheerful and bright on these gloomy days.

My name is Lucia and I live near Rome.
I love your blog!

Buona Serata!

OMG those boots are just fantastic, I'm adding them to my want list! And a beautiful White Stuff scarf, I love their stuff so cosy and wearable but I love it better when it's a bargain! Hope the sun returns to you soon, so you feel better it's been missing from the sunny south all week too!

Clean up the shelves of doom and if you find the leaves you will have killed 2 birds with one stone and have a nice shelving unit to look at. Win, win. Send that rain to Texas, we need it.

I'd go with EXCITED. It captures so much of the pre-Christmas fizz of pure anticipatory fun.

The photo orginally made me think you were crocheting little houses.

oohh what lovely buys, you can't beat a new felt stash, wellies etc etc

Yum! Everything in this post looks so pretty! I am dying to make your cute little bunting, do you have a tutorial for that on here that I'm just not seeing?

Hi Lucy, can't wait to see your bunting, I'm sure it'll be as great as all the others you've done before! And thank you for this colourful post, as always it brightened my day!

Ooh I *love* the wellies. Saw someone wearing the knitted ones last week and wondered where they came from. Very gutted that they almost certainly wouldn't make them big enough to fit my monstrous clompy size 8 feet.

I can't wait to see the results of all your pre-Christmas crafty workings!
