Such a beautiful day! Days like that make me feel really alIve and very very appreciative of being so. I have woods around me and am blessed to see the dappled light on many a day. Wishing you and yours another glorious one. Mo xx

Joey

Oh I love the ones of the light coming through the trees!! I was lucky with the St Cs Chapel ones - just a perfect morning.

Beautiful, beautiful photos Lucy, especially the last one - I was fortunate to live in Yew Tree Cottage on the left opposite the loos as you walk down the slope from Strid Wood car park for 4 years with my previous partner and it was always that beautiful - thank you so much for bringing back some wonderful memories

Beautiful! I'm sooo jealous - at precisely the moment you were all getting out of the house I was leaving for my Saturday stroll around.....my local Sainsbury's! An important trip on account of the bare fridge but not as uplifting as yours.

Nanita

We're having the exact same kind of wheather here in Belgium and I am loving it, I could go off to the woods every day if I could! Don't you just love the smell of this time of year? Your photos are wonderful, you beautifully caught the sunbeams falling through the trees, well done! :-) xxxx

hello lucy... i am amazed at your way with words at times. a lovely post! the pics are so pretty and perfect to share. i am a 'green' fanatic to say the least, my favorite color.
as i look up at the small hill from my window next to my computercabinet i see our trees are a bit further on with fall with many shades of yellow, orange, red and brown between. i guess the island may be a bit warmer than what we have having here at the moment. i enjoy the sun-ups and sundowns, such a warming *glow* especially the sundowns right now. the sky is SO BEAUTIFUL and inspiring! all those lovely shades. when i drive home from work in the evenings there is a special spot in the fields i like to visit where, if the weather allows, i have a breathtaking view all around me. *sigh*
we have frost! yesterday as i left for work (what else?) :0/ i had to scrape the ice off the windshield... a crispy 3°C in the sun! time to get my outdoor pots in!
my granddaughter saw 'smoke' as well a few morns ago. i did explain to her that it is steam and she answered 'yes, because it is so much warmer in my mouth!' not bad... :D
today a chocolate cake is on the plan, cant wait until the lovely smell fills the house! i may add some spices as well... it fits to the time of year.
one more look at your fab pics... the light thru the trees is amazing! i enjoy sharing your enthusiasm for nature!... for ALL things (you DO take great photos, you know!) and then get to my chores (bah)
so wonderfully nice that i found you! xoxox

Sally

Thanks again for sharing photos of your oh so beautiful corner of the world. I do enjoy and look forward to them. Can almost feel the crisp fresh air of autumn. It is still in the high 90s here.

Dear Lucy the day was beautiful here too. Our woods here were heavenly too. Your photo with the shafts of sunlight coming through the trees
was pure magic! xx

sammia

The light coming through the trees is so beautiful!

Lindy

What beautiful photos! It is interesting watching the changing of the seasons over there as we move into Spring in Australia. Love your blog. I've been following religiously for over 2 years now.

Everything looks very beautiful in your Green and Pleasant Land. Over here, we've got pretty red and orange trees already.

Frances

Yes, Lucy, I do know what you mean about the vast pleasure for us to breathe out our breath, and see it as a mist before our eyes.

You were brilliant to rouse your family and get them out and about in that lovely forest early in the morning.

The light, as shown in your fine photos, really is spectacular! Autumn can be such a marvelous season.

Lots to inspire us. xo

Bethany

Very nice - thank you for sharing the beautiful photos. I love Autumn, it's my favorite time of year. It's interesting for me to see what it looks like in different parts of the world.

Robin

Gorgeous pictures Lucy and yes I never thought about the oxygen, but it is true. The moss and the green and the rays just the ingredients for a crisp morning walk. How wonderful of you and your husband to expose the kids to this beauty. I know they will always appreciate nature and your family moments. xoRobin❤

Alison

What beautiful photographs! Unfortunately we didn't have it just so clear today- in fact it was positively dreich!!! Perfect for hooking though! ;) xxxx

Rainy Day Crafter

What gorgeous photos, especially with the shafts of light through the trees! Just beautiful! :)

Louise

The change of seasons is always so incredible.

Martta

Breathtakingly beautiful! You take gorgeous photographs.

Autumn is my favourite time of year and I really miss the forrest here in Australia. Though forrests are a bit different in Finland than where you live, but a forrest is a forrest. And trees are trees and I miss everyone of them.

Victoria

Too lovely for words. Vicki x

beritbunny

Oh, wonderful! If we have something this beautiful nearby, I don't know if it!

Elly D

Sounds wonderful :) Great pictures :)

Claire

What lovely pictures. My 2 children have always called "smoke" Dragons Breath :o)

Erin Adkins

I find walks in the woods to be therapeutic! Whenever life seems to get in the way I tend to gravitate towards a nice stream and a lovely walking trail! Your pictures certainly captivate the ambiance of it all! Absolutely beautiful!
