Hello!

About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

not sure if anyone's told you yet....but a photo of yours is on the home page of Crochet Today! magazine http://www.crochettoday.com/issues/septemberoctober-2011

I believe it's a post about inspiration. :)

Oh, I miss camping! Have a fabulous time.

Hope your trip is going well! :) I am new to your blog. I love it! Am just rekindling my crochet skills (such as they are). I adore your work! Would LOVE for you to spend some time teaching/writing about how you change colors. Still struggling with that--ugh. Thank you so much!!

Oh Lucy i love your little garden photo on the previous blog post, we used to have a pretty little courtyard garden with lavender and roses and spring flowers and our two rabbits bouncing around it free range. Now we have a huge garden which was so bland when we moved in last year. Your garden is very inspiring!

Like you I pack things to do, but mine are knitting, embroidery and magazines:-) hope you had the wonderful weather we had in Norfolk, up there in York. Look forward to hearing all bout your adventures.

Bless Little B! Such monkeys at that age, mine are the same. Hope you enjoy your little break in Connievan and you can relax after the troubles and worry you've had recently. Looking forward to seeing your photos as always xx

Your new profile photo looks GREAT! How do you keep getting younger, better, and thinner looking as time passes?

Oooh sounds like a wonderful break Lucy, I'm rather fond of York, used to live there myself for a while! Hope you and your family have had a great time, and found a bit of time for a spot of retail therapy too!

I just adore your blog!!! On days when the sky just isn't quite blue enough, I run to your blog. There is just something about it that cheers me to the core, and I love every single minute spent with you at Attic 24. Thank you so much for the invite into glimpses of your day.

I have not been able to read your blog in such a long time. My children have been home on summer vacation (vacation for WHOM may I ask?) and my computer has been fussy. So I need to make a few comments. First off, your pictures are so cheerful and they just make my day and give me motivation. Your new profile picture is great and I LOVE your hair. It looks amazing. Normally new moms (you aren't a "NEW" mom but a mom to a new baby you know what I mean) cut it in a bob and look like a mom that has cut her hair for ease. You look SLEEK and all stylish and beautiful and professional. Your blankets remind me over and over again when I go to my go to pattern of granny squares that they are very cool and not what my Gramma made. At least not your way! Aaaaand as for B... You will laugh and you know it. I have a 2 year old that I watch and she is a genius. MY youngest is 8 so I think I am sort of out of practice...but this 2 year old is like nothing I have ever seen. Genius at this age is a dangerous thing. She flusters me and frustrates me but at the end of the day I laugh my tush off at her antics. After she is gone. And they have been picked up that is. Thank you again for making my day.

Sorry Lucy, but I did laugh at Little B! Love your very thorough preparations for the holiday - my kind of prep. Have a wonderful time.

Sara

The Connievan is looking lovely. And it sound like Little B is keeping you quite busy as expected. Wishing you a happy week in York!

Have a great trip Lucy! Have you seen gypsybazaar.blogspot.com? She made a handbag that is very similar to your flower cushion! I think you'll love it! It was in her February archives. She really has the most gorgeous blog and very colourful like yours! xxxx

Victoria

Looking forward to hearing of your adventures in York. We have just had friends staying who are now living in York and so we are looking forward to visiting them in the not too distant future. So any recommendations very welcome. Hope you have a wonderful time. x
