About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Tina, the quiet homemaker

Thinking of you and praying too. Hope your Mum goes from strength to strength Lucy, I know how exhausting it is to watch a parent struggle. Sending hugs, xxx

God bless her!
God bless you both!
What trying times you all are having... good to hear your Mum is slowly but surely recovering. You are doing the right thing, caring for lil´B and going on with your daily routine... It´s the best medicine for hurts of the heart and burdens of the mind...
Take good care of yourself and be strong! Heidi

I love that you photographed that white feather to show us. You are so talented as an artist and I think I remember reading that your mother is an artist as well. Perhaps that white feather came from God to let you know that He appreciates you AND your Mum for bringing beauty into the world and showing other people how to see beauty. Thank you for all that you do.

finding a feather is very lucky and meant to say that an angel has dropped by.keep the feather for a couple of days and then let it go ok. with kisses. i hope your mom is ok and gets a lot better soon. you are in my thoughts. mel xxx

Love to you and your family Lucy. Your Angels are obviously watching you. Hugs. Vicky

hi send a cybe4r hug to you and saying a prayer for your mum.
i believe these white feathers we find are from the angels we never see but know are surrounding us with love. i collect mine safely in my bible

thoughts and prayers to you and your family!

My thoughts are with you and your Mum. It must feel hard to live so far away. I am sending best thoughts for your family and that there are many more good surprises and connections at this time.

Hi Lucy

I appreciate that you have a lot to deal with at the moment and there is absolutely no rush but is there any chance that you could let me know

where I can find the pattern for the flower motif you used for the wonderful multi colour scarf.

I have been through your blog and clicked on so many links but to no avail.

If you cannot let me have the pattern could you tell me the name of the book that contains it. I do so want to have a go at this it looks so beautiful.

I just love your blog with its many coloured photo's and am inspired by all of your makes....

I do hope everything goes well for your Mum, it's a very trying time for you.

It is my belief that a feather like that means that the Goddess is with you and a good sign.

Keep well and thank you so much for blogging

I understand your distress Lucy; I'm doing the same health watch with my sister. Sending you the best from a grateful reader in the States.

Wow...a feather falling from the sky can only bring hope and good news for you Lucy. Hang on in there and here's wishing for your mum to build back her strength. x

God Speed Sweetheart...Thinking of you.. X X X X X X

I truly, madly, deeply believe in angels, and your lovely white feather is definitely a sign that they are with you right now and always. I've only been looking through and around your wonderful blog for a couple weeks now, and what really comes across (apart from your love of lovely bright, fun colours) is how positive you are - I wish I could have just a little of your positivity. Even though it's difficult at such an uncertain time, please keep your thoughts high and bright - the Law of Attraction will respond with like for like. Kind and happy thoughts float to you on angels wings to you -xx-

Sending you lots of love, hope your mum is better soon. Dee xxx

I am sorry Lucy...and I'm sending love and gentleness to you and your family. Fiona x

I haven't posted before but I just wanted to say that you and your family are in my thoughts. Take care xx

Sending you big bunches of love and light...

Dear Lucy,
As I've been reading your posts lately I've been also worried about my own mum who has been ill. A Bible verse I love came to mind as I was praying for you all - I Peter 5:7
Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, [once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.
Praying you will know God's tender comfort during this difficult time, dear one.

nikki M.

Thinking of you and your family.

Chiara VanderBeek

Hello Lucy.

My name is Chiara Im from Mexico but I live in Montana US, my husbands home. Ive been reading your blog for quite a while now and I love it, I certainly love your crochet work but mostly the overall energy. The positive feeling can be felt through the computer and it helps to lighten up the day.
Ive being reading about your mums situation, and read the white feather post. I thought it was very interesting the way the feather fell out of nowhere exactly now that youre going through challenging times. I believe in signs. So today I was checking out some internet sites and came upon ascension101.com in there I read an article called:"Gaia speaks-How to here our Guides". I dont know your spiritual beliefs, but I think what it says there might interest you as it talks about signs and white feathers. Any way I just dont believe in coincidences, and couldnt help but let you know about it, I hope its ok with you.

Much love and strength.
