About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Adorei tudo que vi no seu blog. Suas fotos, seus squares, tudo muito lindo. Você me deu algumas idéias para fazer algumas mantas. Seu capricho é contagiante. Fiquei muito feliz e estou pronta para fazer novos projetos. Sua cidade é linda! Você conhece o Brasil, também tem uma beleza singular. Um abraço, Carla

Good for you, blogging isn't everything, familytime is SOOO much better, and those babes grow up so fast!(not to mention having hubby around is soo lush!)

SOund like you are having a wonderfull and well deserved time!! Enjoy!!!

Glad u r enjoying your family time, but don't forget to make time for yourself, it's not selfish, it makes us better able to cope with the demands of family! PS: not so sure I like your links (full tilt, laundry)- makes me very wary to click if its going to be a gamling website advert instead of a craft photo idea etc. Kind regards Tracy

Hi Lucy, pleased you are well and having some lovely family time together. Life is most definitely for living and I think you have to make the most of each day - the housework will still be there tomorrow (or the next hehe). Joanna xxx

Hi Lucy! I have been following your lovely blog for more than a year now. I enjoy it very very much (and miss you these days). I love your colour combinations although I am (or used to be) more of a grey brownish type of a person, now I think I am becoming a convert, colourwise. And after years and years I decided to dust off my hook and give granny squares a try (something I have never dona before)thanks to you! So I just wanted to say what a positive influence you have on people all over the world, motivating and inspiring us.So, keep on blogging! Love and kisses from Barbara from Croatia

Missing you lots so in your honour went to Dunelm Mills (for curtain materials) and bought some very funky blue polka dotty scissiors - 3 for £1.99 - when I gotthem home my husband looked at them and merely sagely.."Attic 24" .. plus if you have a Peacocks near you they have the most luscious stripey socks - mostly cotton 3 for about £4 ... literally saw them and thought of you... Welcome back looking forward to your next post! The rosy PJ's from Tescos are ace.. lucklily I got a pair before you mentioned them on the blog...

Judging from my diary April should be re-named Bonkers and May should be re-named ABSOLUTELY Bonkers. No time for ANYTHING!
I sympathise- how many Sunday mornings have I promised I will find the time to sit with the Archers and make things? Way too many of late.It has been fun, but I long for me,radio 4 and some restful, unpressured making....
