Just waving to you through the Attic window to let you know we are home again, helloooooo!!
I can't quite find the words at the minute to describe how completely amazing our week away has been, it makes my heart soar just gazing at these pictures and remembering it all. I think it was possibly one of the most precious and perfect family holidays we have ever had, and I am so looking forward to sharing it with you....just transferred my photos from the camera to the laptop (242 of them) and have spent nearly an hour just drinking it all in and sighing with pleasure.
However....soooooooooooooo good to be home again too!! Of course number 24 is in complete post-holiday chaos, it's quite the mad house here at the moment. J is still home with us all this week (fab), kids go back to school tomorrow for all of two days before we embark on another 4-day holiday wkend (Royal Wedding + our annual Waterways festival + May Bank Holiday), so normality won't really return here until 3rd May.
I will post again as soon as I am able (hoping for tomorrow actually) to begin telling you the sun-drenched tales of our time in Dorset, looking forward to it hugely.
See you soon! xxx
Stunning photos! I particularly love the blue-purple flowers. They are so gorgeous!
You do have a good eye for photgraphy :)

Hi Lucy, good to see you back! Noone has commented here on this, but has anyone told you about what has been going on in your absence on Ravelry. There is voting going on for "Top 50 Mom Craft Blogs, 2011" - your voters have managed to get you into 2nd place atm. Take a look on Ravelry under 'Vote for Attic 24'. Everyone has been voting like crazy to get you there!

Hi Lucy,
another Lucy here! Just wanted to drop you a line finally. I realise you get inundated with passionate followers of your blog and it's easy to see why! I just love love love reading about what you have been up to and your WIPs!
I found your blog when I was teaching myself to crochet at Christmas and I have been 'hooked' (tee hee!) ever since! I really appreciate the detailed tutorials they were a lifesaver and I must admit that I have now got the bug of making blankets-they are just oh so yummy and snuggly and a total pleasure to watch grow! It freaks me out sometimes when I read your comments as I always agree!
I love your eye for colour, it really does amaze me how you produce such colourful hooky treats! I wish I had a wool shop near me that sold such delicious colours!!!! Abakhan near me in Manchester sells such insipid stuff :O( I do love the stylecraft range though, nice a cheap for big blankets and really lovely colours. I liked your link through to the bundle packs will defo get some of those in my shopping basket!
Ok I have just realised that I have written a monstrous email. Anyway best leave you to unpacking and putting on a zillion wash loads!
p.s it hasnt escaped me that I am another Lucy from the North of England who loves getting the hooks out now and who holidays in Dorset-woah!! spooky!!
take care, hope to speak to you soon,
Lucy xx

Welcome home! Must come over for that festival one day. I'm an Aussie whose G'parents are from Leeds. Grew up with stories of 'home' but have yet to see it.

Welcome back home! I'm glad you had a wonderful time. Here in Australia, we are in autumn and currently enjoying some beautiful weather, although rain is forecast for the weekend and into next week.
I am having a lovely time looking back through your blog. You have inspired me to buy the Made by Me book for my stepdaughter for Xmas. I am so going to enjoy helping her to make things out of it. She is 12 but a complete craft novice so I think this will inspire her!!

Glad it was such a good break, sounds lovely and wasn't the weather just the most glorious Easter holiday weather - I don't EVER remember such an amazing April.
Do you think of moving down to that neck of the woods, ever? You seem to love it so much and love the sea, etc - I wondered if you would ever make the move down-country?

Been browsing through your blog, its fab!
Quick question... was looking at your little flowers pattern - where did you get all the wonderful buttons?? I thought the box was Cath Kidson, did the buttons come with it???
Thank you
