I love your posts about little pleasures - the best bit is you include photos too. It is so easy to overlook the little things in life or take them for granted. At bedtime, I always ask my kids to say thank you for one lovely thing that happened that day. It always makes us smile :)

Those flowers are glorious altogether like that. I don't crochet but I'd imagine some granny squares in these colours would look ace!

After a very busy week of cleaning, cleaning, cleaning as I prepare to sell my house, your pictures and words were exactly what I needed.
What a sweet time I had reveling in the simple pleasures of your blog! Thank you!

Oh Lucy I don't know how many times I've dashed upstairs to admire the sky, it's a must do moment! In fact we sometimes phone each other just to say "look out the window!" Real pleasure.

I just found your blog this weekend while looking for help with learning the ripple crochet pattern. Your instructions were great - exactly what I needed.
And these pictures remind me of early Spring in Britain, back when I was living there. Thanks.

Hi Lucy,
I have been meaning for sometime to let you know that you have entered my life here in the USA in a huge and colorful way. After discovering you just over 3 months ago my life has not been the same, nor my bank account!!!!. I look eagerly for your blogs to brighten my day. I have lived here in th US for 26 yrs and still feel, on rare occasions, home sick for the UK, especially when i see your beautifully sights of the countryside. The latest one of the polyanthas is darling. AS an avid knitter and just knowing the very basic stiches for crochet your clear and precise directions have open up a new meaning in my daily life. Yes, nothing gets done in the house Now that I have the art of hooky time. It started with the birds and it has snowballed from there The birds have been adapted into some chickens. Just adorable. Two granny stripe blankets, one baby size and one large one have been
finished along with 2 spring wreaths. I've just started on a very colorful granny
Square blanket. These are my simple pleasure in life. Thank you for making my life a rainbow of color.
good wishes to you and your family
Karen
