About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

What lovely photos Lucy. We are staying just the other side of Keswick in May, we went to the Lakes several years ago and are really looking forward to our return. I have already been researching into the nearest yarn shops so that I can go spending when Ian goes on the more "adventurous" walks! Rosy x

I love Cumbria, not seen it cloaked in winter though :-) Camping in Cumbria isn't really suited to winter time.

Such beautiful wintry Lakeland pictures, Lucy! I love it there any time of year. Glad you had a nice break - it does so much good, like rebooting the computer! Have a lovely half term week. Helen x

Good on ya! What a beautiful place, even under grey skies, it's like I imagine England (outside London) when I'm reading novels. The latest one, Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie could have taken place in that lovely stone-housed village. Thanks for sharing your special weekend with us!

Oh... Breathtaking. My hubby and I have been watching and become completely addicted to "Escape to the Country" in Western Australia and my it just makes us want to move to the UK. These pictures DO NOT help. And I'd be very happy with "the white stuff".. Stunning.

Such lovely views! You never fail to inspire.

Love the pictures!

Wow. Those pictures are absolutely amazing. You truly are surrounded by a gorgeous area! Lucky girl!

The reflection in the lake of the mountain and mist is just beautiful. You have captured some stunning colours despite how bleak the weather was. It's always nice to come home though. x

Stunning photographs - thanks for sharing them. The Lakes is one of my favourite places to visit.

So beautiful! I hope to visit England one day & see all the beauty firsthand.

How stunning - I am very jealous (in a nice way), my dream is to visit Yorkshire and the Lakes District one day. Mum was born in Horsforth and I so want to stay at the Yew Tree Farn B&B (love Beatrix Potter) You nust have had a faboulous time in this beautiful part of the world. xxBrenda

Oh Lucy! How lucky to have girlie time in the lakes. It sounds like you had a lovely time.

P.S. We could share cake next time we meet, then it would only be half as bad!!!

Belinda from Melbourne

Lovely Lucy, the picture of the little bird on the seat is just beautiful!! Sounds like a wonderful little escape.

Still so beautiful. But very different from when we were there in July. Hope you picked up some Grasmere gingerbread while you were there.
