Happy new year to you and your family!

Gosh you really know how to do colour! I'm only safe around neutrals. These mosaics would make such a beautiful calendar - maybe food for thought for next year.

Hope you have a wonderful 2011.

Because of you, I keep reading my crochet answer book and trying to crack the code of the fancy granny squares. I'll get there. I will! Your photos are always a delight.

Hi Lucy, these photos are beautiful! I especially love the granny sqaure projects in May and September - the combinations of colours you've used are exceptional! Maybe those projects stand out to me more because I've just started crocheting myself, and I'm looking for more ideas!

I actually had one question - I've noticed several chevron projects on your blog, and I'm trying to do one at the moment, but I'm wondering if it's possible to do a half chevron? I had a little go at it myself, but it was dismal! If anyone knows how to do it, tips would be most appreciated!

A total sensory overload! Fantastic stuff.

I hope it's ok but I have put a link to your Blog of lovliness on my new "something else Lucy inspired" as my husband would say blog.

Keep it coming I looooooove it!

Happy New Year! Your blog has been quite an inspiration for me. Thank you for all of your work!

Happy New Year Lucy. I love your review of the year pics, they are so colourful.

I am back in blogland with a new blog that is more about my real interests in life rather than focussing on weightloss which became too boring (and unsuccessful!)

So there will be more knitting, crochet, cooking and reading this time, and anything else that takes my fancy!

lots of love xx

Kate

I am so happy yours was one of the first blogs I ever read. I don't blog myself, but get so much enjoyment from yours. You are such an optimistic, encouraging person. I know there is hope in the world with people like you inhabiting it. May God bless your sweet family and may the new year be a good one for you.

A year ago I've found your beautiful and o so colorful blog...I then also enjoyed those colorful pictures of the whole year. And I kept on coming back and it will be the same in 2011!!!
I want to wish you a sparkling and colorful (but you already are) new year!!!

Denise

Love looking at your pictures. Hope your family has a happy and healthy 2011.

I recently "gave" myself a day to just sit and look through blogs. Most of it was spent looking through yours and I can't begin to tell you what a bright bit of sunshine it is! My five year old daughter soon came in and was as glued as I was- my previously "strictly pink with a bit of purple" girl at first asked "why does she use so many colors?". She now has a huge list of projects we must do- among them a ripple blanket for her and her doll. I asked if she wanted it in pinks and she said "yes, with blue and yellow and a bunch of other colors". She also requested a YELLOW scarf which I began knitting for her yesterday! Perfect timing for her to be so inspired, she is my crafty clone and wants to learn to sew and everything else I do! Thank you and Happy New Year!!

Nilla

Lovely pictures! You really see the beauty in every day things, don't you? Hope your 2011 will be just as beautiful, colorful and happy!

Absolutely gorgeous. There are some projects in there I think I missed; I'm excited to go back and take a closer look. Happy New Year

Thanks Lucy for all the wonderful pictures and inspiration! I found your blog this summer and my daughter and I faithfully read your blog. We are knitters but have crossed over to the crochet world for a few items because of your wonderful pics and creative color combos! Have an awesome year and may God bless you and your family abundently.

Such a lot of colour and goings on for one year. Lets home that the next one is just as eventful! Am now off to search for my 2011 calendars that i put away for "safe keeping" and now have no notion where that might be. Greetings from a grey and chilly Scotland - jacqui

What a wonderful, colorful life you live! You inspire me to strive to put more color and creativity in mine. Happy new year to you, dear Lucy! Long live crochet!

Angie
