About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Oh! That was just beautiful! I had to catch my breath a couple of times, those flowers are all so loverly. I am so glad that you like fresh flowers so much and that you are so willing to share them with us.
That was such a nice look back at this year's beauties!

I love the crocheted vase cover - very cute.

Love to see your year of flowers. This year has been strange for me and I can say I'm glad it's coming to a close.

You've made me doubly determined to stick to my resolution of having more flowers in the house this year!

Dear Lucy I took a step out into my garden this morning and everything looked so wet and foggy dull!!! Sitting at the table later in the morning with a cup of tea I'm planning what to grow in the coming year. Hoping to take some inspiration from one of Sarah Raven's books to provide more cut flowers for the house.
Look forward to your hooky post.xx

Beautiful flowers, life would be dull without them! :)

What a lovely post. Although living in England for the past 20 years, the daffodil - always takes me back to my chilhood growing up in Wales.
Every child wore a daffdil to school on March 1st - St. David's Day.
Wonderful blog.
Have a great New Year.

love the pictures lucy nice to see your getting time to keep all of us attic addicts uptodate with things lol
have you got a tutorial for the heart garland which is on one of your pictures would be ideal for valentines
thanks for keeping us smiling in 2010 and looking forward to your bloggs in 2011

I love it! Thanks for the wonderful post on such a grey day. My favorite is the jug of blue flowers where I can "just" see the top of a cute smiling baby head over the flowers (I can only tell he's smiling because of his eyes)

Lovely, and all of the colors that I think of when I think of your blog. Your bright colors are what attracted me to reading your blog in the first place. We used to live in England and I loved it and miss it but remember how dreary the winter days can be. I think the bright colors in your home must make winter much brighter!

How lovely! I've got hayfever so badly at the moment, just looking at those pictures of flowers made me sneeze! But what a lovely collection.

Best wishes for the new year.

Ah what a lovely way to cheer up a rather dreary day! My favourites are the sunflowers, so bold and proud.

AHH, Lovely on a dreary rainy day! Do you grow them or purchase them? I am attempting your crocheted striped tote. I am a novice! My biggest difficulty is changing colors/yarn and making it look neat! Any suggestions?
Blessings in 2011,

Super Duper lovely post Lucy! Gorgeous flowers. I bought myself roses yesterday, popped into my Whittard jug on the kitchen windowsill. Lovely. 2011 is going to be My Year of Flowers, I am positively popping with excitement at this prospect!

Oooooh , gorgeous , colour soaked post . Perfect for a grey day.

Great sneaky peek at Little B hiding behind the flowers!

All those wonderful colors! I agree with you about the fresh flowers, I can't imagine a world without them. They are just so inspiring when they are about. Makes me happy, happy, happy to have a vase of flowers near by. Looking forward to your "hooky" post tomorrow.

What a cute dollie blanket! Thank you for that very much needed lovely burst of colour. Rachael Xx

Wonderful photos of the flowers - and I agree, can´t quite understand where this year ran off! :-D

Yay for time on the laptop! Daddy holidays are a great great thing :)
I think my favourite photo is the daffodils in the blue vase- simple, beautiful, happy and lovely.
Look forward to the other photos!

Beautiful as always!!!!

I just found your blog a couple of weeks ago. Thanks you so much for all the inspiration and eye candy! I can't wait for what the new year will bring! Your post always bring a smile to my face. Thanks

Lovely flowers Lucy :0)
Your blog is always so bright and cheery, what with your flowers, crochet and gorgeous views from your attic.
It's lovely of you to take the the time to cheer us, and help us with our happy thoughts on this very dull, foggy and wet day :)
Looking forward to the hooky post tomorrow.
Take care x
