Ahhhhh hello my lovelies, and welcome to this year's yarn-infested Hooky Review!!!
It's been FAB-u-lous putting this post together, I've enjoyed it so much!! For one thing, I have been totally blown away by just how much crochet has really happened in 2010. Did I really, really, really manage to create All This???? REALLY???????? erm.................how exactly??? Hahahaaa....honestly, it feels to me as if the year has been so chaotic, so baby-orientated and sleep-deprived that nothing creative has been possible at all. That's how it feels, yet looking at the pictures here today I am quietly impressed with my own industriousness. True, I may not have been quite as productive as last year, but bloody hell I haven't done bad if I do say so myself.
So without further blub, here is my Hooky Year in Pictures...................................
:: Granny Wheel Square ::
:: piles of Little Squares for the baby zigzag blankie :: Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino ::

:: my beloved Granny Stripe, Ta-dah!!!!! ::
:: that's the Stylecraft again with extra colours added ::
:: making Sweet Flowers for Connievan's Granny blanket :: Stylecraft acrylic of course ::
:: progress on the Sweet Flower Granny, the slowest blanket in the world ::
:: hooking Christmas decorations at the cafe :: using Rico Cotton again ::
:: Ahhhhhhhhhh, yummy little hooky decs for my tree, with bells and beads and everything ::
:: the Summer Squares cover is finished, Ta-dah!!! ::

ooooooooooooooooo wasn't that something?????
Such fun, I'm loving this Year End stuff!!!

Hello Lucy :-)
Just wanted to stop by to wish you a wonderful new year, to thank you for being the amazing inspiration that you are, and following your amazing daughter's words a few days ago: "my wish: when I grow up (more?), I want to be just like you" :-D
Here is to hoping...
Warm (literally!) wishes from my little more colourful, happier nest.
See you next year; can't wait ^-^

The last of our snow has just melted here for the time being, and everything is brown and muddy so the flower photos are very enjoyable. Love your beautiful crochet with all of the pretty, bright colors.

Dear Lucy THANK YOU for your wonderful crochet post. So lovely to look at ALL
your inspirational ideas. Do you think that you might teach us via your
excellent tutorials how to make a sweet flower granny square in 2011?
I made a Spring Time wreath and a friend of mine was really impressed so naturally I sent her in your direction. I have enjoyed making two blankets
and look forward to lots more crochet in the new year.xxx

I've been watching your blog for some time now (in relative silence, I'm afraid) and I've just got to tell you that I'm quite pleased every time I check out the blog and see something new. You've inspired me to try new things (I'll be sending you a link soon with pictures of the STACKS of snowflakes I made for Christmas ornaments this year) and you're constantly challenging me.
Living across the sea in America (all the way out in Texas, for that matter!) I find myself a teeny bit jealous at the absolutely BEAUTIFUL colors of yarn that you work with that are from brands that (I'm afraid) are far outside my budget for now.
Your work and your colors are always a great inspiration for me, Lucy, and I look forward to what you put out in the New Year!
I'll certainly be following along with avid interest, hook and yarn in hand ready to learn something new with you. :)

I love them all, but the granny stripe is my favourite - I'm so excited about my yarn arriving so I can attempt my very own!
Thanks for the inspiring round up.

I've now made some of my own and they are just gorgeous! Thanks.

Lucy, I have really enjoyed reading your blog this year. I am a hooky newbie - still struggling to make a square (mine always end up missing a few stitches.) I often say I'll give it up but then I read your blog and see your beautiful creations and I'm inspired once more. I hope you and your family have a fab new year. x
