About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Lovely pictures! Yes, first snow is always magical - especially when seen through children´s eyes. :-)

Krista - Poppyprint

YES! We've had ours, too, and magical it was.

Sarah

Hello! I just wanted to tell you that I recently discovered your beautiful little slice of Heaven and I love it! Thank you for posting such wonderful things, your pictures make my heart smile! Have a wonderful day, and enjoy that snow, it only stays pretty for so long! :)

Thank you! Sarah

Lesley

Aye. Pretty. Very pretty. But blooming disruptive! We're on day 5 and 2 feet of snow in Aberdeenshire, and no let up in sight. School's already been shut for 3 days and it's not even Christmas yet! Roads to the ski slopes aren't even properly cleared......... Nothing for it but to get the fire on, a hot cup of tea, and some crochet time.......

Denise

Very pretty. I love to look at pictures of snow. It even snowed over the weekend at the mountain near me. A month early for the desert SW in the US. I'm just hoping it doesn't snow down here in the valley.

We are a few degrees colder than home back in the northeast.

Dee

The first snow is always the best snow. Have fun sledding with the Littlies!

It's still quite warm here --- about 26°C. Guess we won't be seeing any snow today. ;-)

What a beautiful view!! My brother is travelling at the moment from Australia.... he's been in England and went to Ireland just the other day for a few days... and the temp was -18 or something crazy! He's FREEZING! -3 or 4 is about as bad as it gets here... and it doesn't stay that way all day. He saw snow for the first time in Belfast too!

driftwood

oh so pretty. and less overwhelming than the amount we have.... x

Erin

Magical indeed! I love how you use the word "sledge" ... it's so Narnian. =)

Alicia

Pretty though it is I've had enough of the snow already - we've got over a foot of it here in Northumberland and have had for a few days now, schools are closed, I can't get to work and it's causing chaos. And it's still snowing!

Jacquie

Beautiful, always love your pics, quite magical :0)

I just ran upon your blog last night & already I'm totally LOVING it! The snow is beautiful, but even more....I'm in LOVE with all your crochet projects......I'm in heaven! <3

RoMashKa

such beautiful sights!!!

little pink room

Absolutely. It is beautiful!

jess

You live in heaven.

Louise

and yes, I agree, the first snow of the year is magical! I'm starting to feel all christmassy!

Louise

I'm feeling a bit cheated! I've only got about a centimetre of snow here and usally my area gets snow even when no one else does so it feels wrong that so much of the country has enough to close schools and I don't!

I love the view from the attic this morning :)

Kar

I love the first snow of the season also. I'm glad it has come to us early this year. It's just so beautiful covering everything. Have fun sledding. :)

The Garden Bell

Just the ticket.... I needed a snowy stroll with A24 to pick up the little ones. So, nice to have survived the holiday weekend and get back to some blogland peace and quiet...he-he... I can hardly believe you beat us to the first snow this winter season.....Oooooops, now that I look out the window, we are not to far behind.

Bundle up, as we say it's on it's way.

You know I'll be back to have another peek soon.

Hugs,
Kate - <3 <3 <3

Lisa

Ooh! I'll be the first to comment! It looks delightful in your part of the world. Enjoy that snow and I hope the sledging was fun!
