So beautiful! Looks like a little bit of Heaven there. So very different from life and scenery here in my sunny southern California neighborhood.

Love the photos with the snow, we are having a very wet summer here in Sydney Australia, quite a lot flooding in the country areas. Love your blog keep it up love to see how the other part of the would is going.

Debbie

Hi Lucy, I look at your blog everyday. Love all the patterns and adventures. On Feb 11. 2010 you made the cutest 2 tones heart. Will you ever post the pattern on your blog? Can't wait for the tut on the Christmas ornaments... Made a ton of snowflakes last year!!!! Thanks so much♥♥

Val

Lovely. We're getting our first snow here today, and while I doubt it will be enough to completely cover the grass, I'm still happy with whatever little bit that I can get!

Lindy

Just beautiful! i am in Australia and been following your wonderful blog for the past 18 months. Last Christmas i spent a month in London. Your pictures of snow are making me wish I could be back there again. thanks for the great blog.

Oh, I can almost smell the crisp fresh morning snow! Such a contrast to our early season heatwave - stifling.

himiko

First snow is magical... especially when it hasn't been trampled on and ploughed through.
Snow kicked in over here as well... it does give a special kind of glow to the day.

My Dear Amiga Lucy, The first serious snowfall came November 12, and it’s still here in Alberta. The temperature has been around -15C to -10C almost ever since. In this part of Canada, we have about seven months of white winter and when the first snow comes always seems a total surprise to drivers and everybody gets in trouble with the general traffic jam. :o( This snow has actually been pretty with huge fluffy flakes.Snow is beautiful especially if you can look at it through the windows from a nice, warm house!;o)I love it when it's coming down but I'm not so crazy about it when it stays and I have to drive in it. Further north and up in the Rocky Mountains they’ve had winter for some more weeks. Keep warm and take care! Hasta pronto,
Gloria x

We are cosying up indoors as my little bean is unwell and eating home baked cookies...meant to say, giveaway over on my blog - draw tomorrow so I hope you see this and get a chance to bob over!

Sending love

The snow looks lovely with the sun shining on it. Great view from the attic. Enjoy the snow while you can, it probably won't be around that long.

Ooh. I love waking up to find the first snow of the year. It happened in Manchester this morning! As a double whammy it's also ollie's birthday today so he was especially excited to find it had snowed for his 3rd birthday!! Bless him. Keep warm & cozy.

How beautiful the day is, it's not quite so bad when the sun is shining and you are all rugged up in snuggly clothes. I love where you live such beautiful countryside.
Hugs xx Sandi
Oh and I would bet your little people loved their new sledges :)

Pati from London

Morning Lucy, Even though I love your pics of the snow and can handle it for one or two minutes from my cosy window..., I just don't like snow and the hassle that brings.... London and snow don't mix well, believe me...Buses stop running, traffic becomes a bit more tricky, roads are slippery, the sky here is grey..., brrrrhhhhh!!!! Bring me the sun and some heat any day..... Enjoy the snow in your bit of the world! Pati x

Petit Filoux

You live in such a beautiful part of the country!

Allyson

Beautiful pictures! I'm quite jealous...we're just heading into the hot season Down Under. I'd MUCH rather be looking at snow!

Danielle

I love your views from the Attic. You do live in heaven and yes, snow is so magical. We are sweltering through a 37 degree day here in Perth, Western Australia. Grass is always greener but I'd love to visit a country with snow one year for Christmas!

Steffie

No snow (not even a squall) yet here in Boston, MA, USA! It would be nice to see one here soon but in the meantime, it was nice to enjoy the view from your Attic!
