About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Beautiful! I was dancing in my seat hoping you'd say you would make a pattern!! We are all hooked on your creations ;) (pun intended...sorry!!)

So beautiful, Lucy! I understand about your little boy, as my six month old is starting to get into things also. He's scooting along and puts anything he can find (that happens to be in his pathway) into his mouth. Fortunately, so far, I've managed to keep one step ahead of him! I, too, manage to fit in a bit of crochet done here and there, but it seems some of the bigger projects will be on hold for a while! I appreciate that you continue to plug along with your blanket. I know it'll be worth the wait to see it! I love the new ornaments you're making for Christmas- such lovely colors. You always inspire me in that regard!

Those decoration are lovely and so colorful! Just what i need for my xmas tree :))

Love those stars! :-)

Ahhh!!! Love LOVE these! Would love LOVE to see a pattern! They are inspiring...

Nice to see you have some time for Lucy and great that you're creating. can't wait for the patterns.

They look lovely! I can completely relate to needing the excitement of a new, small, pretty project to break the monotony of a big one. I look for forward to their very own post!

I'm so inspired with your new pattern....I look forward to them all!....xo

Can't wait to see the patterns! My kiddos are going to a Christmas party/ornament exchange on Monday so if I had those in time that would be perfect. Little B permitting, of course. ;)

Brilliant idea! I really love the decorations and can't wait for the instructions :) My tree is sadly in need of some lovely "hooky ornaments"!

OMG....these are gorgeous! I can not wait to get the pattern & give these a try!! You are my inspiration!

I can't wait to see your new creations! I love the blanket in the background too! Very cheery and cosy, perfect for grey, wintry days.

They look great!! So colourful--as always! I made some stars last christmas but yours are obviously stuffed as well. Much more appealing.

Little B's have a way of hindering Mommy time. Those pictures looks very colorful and cheery.

Lovely lovely lovely Lucy - can't wait to see more!!!!

it looks delightful from this angle!

If I may, from reading Lucy's posts, butt in here: Lucy uses several brands and types of yarn, and I agree, the colors are fabulous. Not like the drab colors we get here in the US.

The acrylic yarn she uses is a U.K. brand called Stylecraft, which looks to be comparable in price to Vanna's or Patons. Stylecraft is not available in the US and I have not found anyone who ships to the US from Britain.

For projects calling for softer yarns, she has used Rowan Cashmerino (cashmere blend) Rowan DK Cotton, and others. Her 'little flower' pins are from Rowan DK Cotton. "DK weight" is just a bit lighter than Worsted, yet heavier than baby or Sport wieght yarn.

Ah! The decorations make me smile too! Lovely, Lucy!

Oh, so festive! love 'em!! That age is so active, into all of it! Hopefully he takes naps. I looked forward to those everyday and usually instead of cleaning, I would stitch!

Yr Christmas decorations are just lovely..When l spotted them, me thinks, oooohhh look, tiny mandalas... So pleased you are blogging away to keep us company.. Big hugs for yr littlies .. Regards, Pam Clarke..Bingara, NSW, Oz.
