:: going out into the cold back yard to put rubbish in the bin and seeing that one of my geraniums is still flowering. Such a zing of brilliant colour, it made my heart squeeze. I couldn't resist plucking a stem and bringing it indoors to zing away on the table. It makes me so happy to see it there ::
:: stepping outside this morning into the cold, fresh, crisp air. Spending a few quiet moments with my face turned up to the sky, breathing it all in. Such a glorious blue ::
:: sitting by the fire reading magazines, so cosy and homely. I had a hot water bottle on my leg as I had pulled a muscle and it was really aching. The gentle heat helped a lot ::
:: ahhh Little B...truthfully many, many Happy Little Moments come via him these days, he is such a Producer of Happiness! His feet are particularly scrummy, I love them dearly ::
:: my evening ritual of Lighting The Candles. How short our days are becoming now, we are drawing the curtains around 6.30pm. Love the gentle flickering glow of candlelight, makes me feel all mmm-mmm-aaaahhhh ::
:: toasting marshmallows on the fire before bed, very happy Little People ::
♥ hope your weekend was full of Happy Little Moments too ♥

I'm de-lurking to say lovely post as usual, and your photo's are always truly scrummy. Oh btw - third attempt at leaving comment and cannot subscribe either due to HTML burble - maybe it's just me being rubbish.

Toasted marshmallows on the fire, a favourite here too, its so cosy to have an open fire on winter nights.
Hope your leg is much better after its 'hottie' treatment

Just re-found you via the mention in the the Typepad newsletter (I'm sure I've stumbled across this lovely space before though). Such a nice oasis of calm you have here- thank you.

I love baby feet, too. :) As one of my friends used to say (she's from the Deep South in the USA), "I could just eat them on a biscuit!"

Hi Lucy,
I discovered your blogs whilst looking for crochet inspiration about 6 months ago and now it's become a regular luxury break with a cuppa in the evenings along with my favourite home decorator mag. Thank you for providing me with inspiration for my crochet, little bits around the house (like a burst of flower magic in a glass jar) and a renewed appreciation for the things we often overlook when life gets busy!
Cheers,
Lou (in Australia)

I love little baby feet too - especially when they are crawling away from you! My happiest moment currently is seeing my little daughter crawling along (minus the nappy) towards her beckoning big sister - or her big sister telling me that she is 'escaping'!!

Dear Lucy,
I've been following your blog for about a year now (found it because I started to learn myself how to crochet and it was love at first sight with your whopping colour combinations ;)), I've been reading the archives and I just wanted to tell you How Much I Love It. Really. You're a wonderful and creative person who has the talent to find Beauty in every-day things, and you are beautiful for it. Thank you ever so much for sharing with us! I just had to pop in to send you a little love from Belgium, and wish you a lovely day :)

Hi Lucy, Snap with the tea light holders ~ I think I paid the grand sum of 50p each for mine. I do love a bargain!! Your weekend sounds wonderful and your photos are gorgeous as always, especially the lovely, wrinkly, very cuddly baby feet belonging to little B. Hope that your sore leg muscle has eased up now too! :O)xx

Hi Lucy, my name is Viviana and I met your blog a few months ago, is beautiful and has helped me to pass difficult moments of my life because every time I visited needed light. Your blog radiates Love and Happiness.
Thanks for sharing, perhaps inadvertently provides a great help to someone.

Dear Lucy getting far too dark in the evenings now. The frost was really thick in this part of the country this morning but was followed by a clear blue sky and sunshine all day!!
Love the candlelight!!!!!!!x

What a lovely warming post! I spent today and yesterday freezing my butt off in London. I even went to All the Fun o the Fair and guess what?? It was SHUT!! Can you believe it?? I guess we got there too early or something in my eagerness. Nearly gagged at the prices in Libertys but did succumb to some lavender chocolate - only £5.25 for a teensy bar!! Yes I am happy to be home, warm at last. x

Oh yes... this is the time of year for me... the coal and wood giving off a flicker and warmth that is just so good.. and the saound of it crackling and rustling is so comforting too...
looking forward to cosy crocheting evenings..

Baby's feet are hard to resist. Does your little guy keep his socks on? My little nugget of a daughter kicks hers off almost as fast as I can put 'em on. Ahhhh, the little monkey.

I'm so jealous of your real fire! It's the one thing I miss from childhood days when I would hog the fire and sit with my back to it until bedtime.
It's not the same with a gas fire, but I still hog that spot ;)

I'm another de-lurker! Saying hi and I do love to read your blog:) thanks! Haven't the skies been such wonderful shades of blue this week? Delphineum? Chambray? 'Ink Pool'? Gorgeous! Now, wonder if I can get some paint and fabrics in just the right shades.....I can see me holding my paint colour charts up to the sky to find a match lol! Ah, and baby feet -bliss;) xxx
