Hello!

About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Hi from Utah, I am wondering if you will share your yarn choice for the ripple blanket. Would you be able to share your source? thank you and Happy Summer!

Sylvia

Hi Lucy...do you recall what size hook you used making Baby Bump's ripple blanket with Minnow yarn? I'm making one and have used 4mm and don't feel it's "right!" Just curious and enjoy your summer break.

We visited Skipton, York, etc in April and loved, loved the area, so much so, that we are planning a return visit early next year.

Tigger

So glad you're OK - don't comment much but follow you daily and was wondering if you all down with some seasonal 'bug'. Fraid it's TOO HOT for anything to do with yarn but did see a couple of ideas to use plastic carriers to crochet a bag! Take care & enjoy PJ day. xx

Joaninha

I've been checking in, disappointed to see the same post, and hoping that it meant you were out, enjoying our lovely British weather (mewh)... Glad to see you are on the up!!!!

Tracey

Welcome back! I joined Ravelry last night, hopefully I'll be posting a finished (cot-size)hexagon blanket soon. I'm typing one-handed as owner of said cot is asleep on my right arm. Babies are fun, aren't they? :-)

Pat

Hello Lucy :-) Like many, I was wondering if you'd ever find time again to blog your gorgeous mind! I have been popping on ravelry so got some Lucy-fix, but still; not quite the same ;-p. Been in your shoes not so long ago with 3 little ones, but I would NEVER have been able to do a quarter of a third of all you do! Hats off, Lucy ;-D Take good care XOX

Siegi

Hello Lucy, so glad to see you are back and with such a lovely flower to start the day too. Yes, you deserve a pj day....hope you enjoy it. With hols nearly here for you, the time to chill out a bit will be bliss.....good luck with that. Must admit , did miss you but like all your Attic 24 cyber family, I can understand just how lovingly demanding, bringing up a small family can be.We all are thinking of you, whenever we might be in the world.
You are not alone, we love you lots. xxx

eva

welcome back, I missed your cheery posts, and hope you're all back to your upbeat self!

Tara

Have a lovely holiday. My kids went back to school yesterday after two weeks off. (Australia, so a winter break for us). We slothed in our pyjamas as well, most mornings and enjoyed the downtime. No rushing to school. No packed lunches. It was great.

Lovely to see you sweet uplifting spirit here again, Lucy, and ... to tell the truth, also a bit comforting to realize that I am not alone in having ups and downs, and not always being able to post a blog, even when I might want to.

Best wishes!

I just found your blog...you are so talented! I can't wait to see your granny stipe blanket when finished. The view from your attic window is breathtaking! Makes me miss the country life I used to know. I've been looking for a new post for several days now. I really enjoy reading about your day to day life. Have a wonderful day.
