About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

I've been reading your blog for about a year now and I've never commented before but I think it's high time I tell you how much I enjoy your colorful photos and chatter about the goings-on in your life. With this last post, I feel as if I've had a little bit of a day out myself, and felt I had a vacation when i read about yours. So lovely to escape to! I admire your sense of color and your hooky skills, although I do not crochet at all - I like fabric! Thanks for all the fun glimpses into your world!

SparklePetal

Wow, so many different stages and aspects to your lovely Summer Saturday! Every time you show us the Granny Stripe Blanket it looks better and better... I wish I hadn't already packed up my crochet bag prior to moving house, I'm itching to try something hooky now!

Jennifer

What a fun packed day. We hit a patch with the babe several months ago where she did exactly the same thing, went back to sleep and left me up wide awake at five in the morning. As tiring as it was, I must admit that the absolute quiet was a nice change from the normal amounts of chaos.

Your blanket is beautiful, I really do love the way the stripes look, well done!

Glad the kiddos (and you) loved the fireworks, 4th of July will be here before we know it and then we'll be doing the same thing.

Hope you are able to squeeze in an extra nap.

Alicia

I guess you have to get up so early to fit it all in! Sounds like a fab day and what gorgeous blue eyes...

Claire

The blanket is great. How big is it going to be?

Attila

Thanks for this lovely granny stripes pattern! I'm about half as far along with you. I like a crochet (or embroidery) project to do when I go to see my mum, who has dementia, as it gives us something to talk about and keeps me busy when she doesn't have anything to say and I've run out of news. I usually get lots of lovely comments from the residents, staff and other visitors. But it's going to be a bit big to lug about when it gets big!

Marieke

Love your pictures!! And your Granny Stripe Blanket!!

Rebecca

Oh my, such a busy day and yet somehow you make it sound peaceful too. The blanket is looking beautiful.

Heather

oh YES and your granny stripe on top of BB? FABULOUS! xxx

Heather

Little B has beeeyooootiful eyes! very strikingly blue. Andy is a little bit taken with Little b, he keeps telling me about his babycuddles from Saturday, bless.
I had a lovely-lovely day, and I'm looking forward to next time :-) I'm glad you enjoyed it too.

p.s my grannystripe yarn is at the post office depot! I'm not sure I have space for more yarn in our bedroom though, it's a bit like LL's but with yarn instead of toys ...

Angie

I just love seeing your colourful creations and the amazing places you have visited. Makes me want to go see for myself, but I don't think our little camper can cross the ocean too easily. :)

Tara

FABULOUS day =D Gorgeous views and baby!

The Pea Pod

I love your granny blanket, you've got a really good eye for colours. Smashing!
