Hi Lucy, I would just like to thank you for your lovely blog - I had been looking on the internet for ways to join granny squares (the only thing I knew how to crochet) When I stumbled across your blog ( and several others) Ohhhh my - I am soo excited that all you lovely people are willing to share your ideas and give us tutorials.
I have only been making pram blankets, but WOW ! I am addicted and often have 2 or 3 on the go at once.
My all male household think I have lost the plot :D Especially when I requested they order me the Special DK stylecraft for my birthday ( its arrived but I have to wait a few more days til my birthday) and Ive asked them to wrap over the postage packaging because Im sooo excited to open the packages and have all that colour jump out at me :D
Sorry Im rambling - just want to say a huge thank you again. I think I will be turning that DK into a big Granny stripe just for meeee :D

I'm just starting this gorgeous blanket today!! This is my first time attempting a blanket or a project this big..I am so excited! I don't have a specific pattern of colors that I'm following..just plan on pairing up complementary colors in my stash and using up some left overs!

I have ordered this colour pack and can't wait to receive it. The colours are so lively. Thank you so much for your lovely ideas. Your page always makes me feel good. Bless you dear heart.

please can yuo tell me,how much balls of each ball you needed.
Thanks Britta from Germany

I couldn't help myself. I had to start one as soon as I saw this. Now I have three afghans going at once. LOL!

Hi Lucy, I'd like to make this in a baby blanket size. How much wool (yardage?) do you think I'd need total?

Have you seen this?!

How many balls of yarn did you use per color?

Absolutely beautiful. The colors are amazing. I was wondering if you put an edge on your blanket? Thanks for the great pattern.

lovely! Counting the chains for the foundation row is a pain, but I always add a couple of extras on just in case. These are easily undone later if not needed :-)

Love the color & simple design of this. Your post are always so cheerful & bright!

Hello! Love the granny stripe baby blanket! Could you post the pattern? Thanks so much!

This blanket looks wonderful, but i do not understand the pattern. It says, chain 21, turn, sc (i am one of those US peeps) in 2nd from the hook and sc to the end. How does that make 19 stitches total? It's 20 stiches. (21-1=20..) i have 1 stitch too many and i can't figure out what you meant... :(

Thanks so much! I was looking for a simple, pretty stripe to do a cowboy-colors baby blanket (dark red, chocolate! brown, denim blue, cream) and I think this may fit the bill!

oh, just to let you know, you are my hero! I was looking for an easy, fast pattern and you have set my wondering mind at ease! I LOVE this pattern! and I'm so excited to work this project, if I have to put it down, I'm hopping to get back to it! Thank you so much for sharing this great pattern!

After the 240 chain I will crochet my dc.
If I count right how many school will I have counted after I finish that row???
Would it be 239?

Could you send me the video of how to do the stripe Granny... I love the colors.. Beautiful!!

Jenny Busch

Love the colors you chose, great easy pattern. I just wish there nwas a (PRINT) on this site. I just found this site, I find it very interesting.

Just started out this evening on my 240 chain blanket after completing my 21 chain tester. I am using your rainbow idea of colours with white inbetween each layer. Thank you so much for pattern . I am going to love doing this.

Hi there!!! I am new to crocheting and to say I am obsessed is an understatement! Going to be making the granny stripe pattern with similar yarn and wondering what you would suggest for the number to chain for making this into a lap size instead?! So excited to begin!!!!!!!

I love this blanket it is so beautiful. I am having some trouble getting mine started. I am not so great at reading patterns. I am also American so that may be part of the problem. Is there any way you could post a video or email me one of how to start this I would really appreciate it. I love this pattern and the colors are so beautiful please help me get started.
