I worked my way through five whole loads of laundry yesterday. I felt like I did not stop all day. Not sure how it happened but I just I got waaayy behind with it all last week, and my laundry basket was completely overflowing. But it's all done now, well thats to say it's all clean and dry and is now sitting in a huge mountainous pile waiting to be sorted and put away. Oh, and some will be packed into a bag this morning ready for our five day jolly-holiday to the coast *squeeeeeeeeaaaaal*
I spent a little time yesterday packing up a small box with Connievan Kit ready to take with us :: things we had forgotten on the last trip, things we discovered would be Very Useful for Connievan to have and some new purchases too (I got my new pink polkadot kettle a few days ago yippeee!)
Can I show you a few recent bits n bobs that I'm very excited about?? These are a few little things I picked up on Saturday when I took a happy jaunt to a vintage fair. A vintage First Aid tin found it's way to me and I am so happy to have it. It's perfect for Connievan, don't you think?
I also couldn't resist these french inspired tins, they're reproduction ones so are all nice and shiny clean inside.
But my bestest and most heart-skippy find was these little vintage painted coat hangers. Do you know, when I first saw them I really honestly thought my heart would come flying out of my mouth, I was sooo beside myself with falling in complete love with them.
Aren't they adorable?? I LOVE the truly vintage colours, the way they are worn and a little paint chipped, and the fact that one of them has a little name written on the back. So sweet. And only 50p each, I nearly passed out with happiness when they became mine-all-mine for £2.50.
They'll be perfect to hang in Connievans wardrobe cupboard, I'm planning on crocheting some little flowers and hearts (stuffed with lavender) to hang on them, and every time I think of this Pending Project I get to feeling sooo giddy! Such fun!
This delightful heart was not a Vintage Purchase, but a gift for Connievan. How wonderful it is to have friends who are brimful of kindness and thoughtfulness and do such sweet things like buying our caravan a present, wrapping it in brown paper and string and posting it through the letterbox. I just love that I can take this heart with me today and hang it up and feel at home-sweet-home, yet be on holiday at the same time. Perfect.
Have a wonderful week everyone, see you when we get back :o)

I wish you would write a tutorial on how to crochet over wooden coat hangers. I've seen them online, but nobody writes a tutorial like you do. I consider myself very remedial in the crocheting world, but I do understand your tutorials. As I've said before, I'm a knitter and an Attic24 crocheter. All I know about crochet has been from you...and that I thank you for.

Hi Lucy! I wanted to send you pics of the baby afghans I have made using your joining technique. I always liked to do granny squares, but never liked to sew them together afterwards. So once I tried your technique of joining as I went, I was totally "hooked"! I've been using jewel colors and the results are so pretty. At the last baby shower I went to, the new mom opened the afghan, held it up, and everyone cheered! That really caught me off guard! So much fun! Anyways, I wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your website and all the crochet information. Let me know where I can send you pics of the afghans if you're interested. Thanks.

Hope you have had a lovely holiday Lucy. I love the things you've bought for Connievan, I had lapsed a bit with the blanket I am crocheting, but looking at the pics of blankets in those vintage caravans has spurred me on to get it completed!

Connievan looks like such an exciting project Lucy! I can't wait to see what your magic creates... how you get the time with a new baby I'll never know! You make me feel so pathetic, I never seem to be able to find time to do my projects. Best wishes.

Hi Lucy,
I just found your blog this week and I have fallen in love with your work! I am promoting your blog all over the place, as I love your colours and your tutes are so easy to follow. I love your no-sew granny squares so much, it has re-ignited my love for the humble granny and I have started my own snuggly blanket. You can see it on my blog http://mystampingplace.blogspot.com/2010/06/no-sew-granny-squares-blanket.html
Thank you so much! You rock!!

I am so excited to find your blog (through Ravelry). I am not very computer savvy, but have recently been getting back into crocheting. I decided to look up patterns online and have been pleasantly surprised. Your colors, patterns, and pictures you have on your blog have truly brightened my day. Thank you!!!

Hello again Lucy!
I just found this shop online and thought you might like the link. :) I've just been very naughty and bought a load more Debbie Bliss Pure Cotton! I love the stuff, shame it's been discontinued.
