Hi Lucy
I love your blog, I want to make everything. I'm more of a knitter but I am crazy about Japanese Amigurumi, so I am fairly new to crocheting. You have tutorials of all sorts, but how do you make a 'basic granny square'. There are many DIFFERENT and confusing tutorials online. I just love your clear concise instructions and photos, so would really appreciate a tutorial for a basic granny square.

Hope you don't mind, I made a link on my blog to yours for the flat circle tutorial. I used it to make a pillow and I love how it turned out. I have never commented before, but enjoy reading your blog very much. Cheers.

Love the Elmer!
Question: did you make the ripple clutch in your yarn bag?

You have inspired me so much. I love the way you use color. I recently moved to a new apt and I want to decorate it with lots of color. I want cheery, happy color. I just made your little birdie and he came out so cute, definately making more and bought lots of colors of yarn to make the hexagon throw. I live in south florida so everything I do is in cotton or cotton blends. I bought all these colors from Knitpicks in their sportweight, because they didnt have much of a selection in the dk weight.

Lovely.
Loving those granny squares - the three tonal outside rounds with the contrasting centres. Recently did something along those lines myself for a bunting...great minds and all that, hahaha!
Am planning to get some of that yarn myself once it's back in stock...wonder if they'll be able to manufacture it fast enough...??!!

Hi Lucy,
Just wanted to let you know that your blog is mentioned in the June issue of 'Notebook:' magazine here in Australia.
It is referred to on a page (p.115) entitled 'Winter Cosy', and says 'A little ray of winter sunshine in this blog about home, baking and crochet'.
So ... three cheers from Australia!

Just delightful Lucy! The row of blossoming trees are such a lovely spring image - it even reminds me of the beautiful cherry blossoms of Japan! Did I spy a hooky ripple case amongst your yarn? I am very tempted to try one of my own! enjoy your weekend
