About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

I LOVE that jug, and all your crochet, your pictures are so colourful! Do you buy your yarn locally (I'm not that far from you) or on the internet? I'm always on the lookout for new yarn!

Wishing you and your family a nice weekend :-)

I sent an e-mail to the company asking them if they mail to the US because I love the button jug too. I never heard back from them :-(

I love your blog, it's so bright and cheerful.

love you!!! Had to log on to Attic 24 to get my Lucy fix...lol!!

I love your website so much that I added a link to it to my own new crochet site: http://lotsofcrochetstitches.blogspot.com/
Yours is listed under the interesting websites page at the top.

Wishing you all the best!

Pop over to my blog..there's a little something waiting there for you! Cx

Funny thing.....but I just love your BLOG. Your BLOGLAND is so happy and full of life, children, flowers and color!. And when I saw the picture of the button jug, definitely to die for, though it doesn't look like it is available in the US.:( Thank you, thank you for all your posts, patterns and sharing. The wierdest part is that I feel like part of your family, and I know I am the farthest thing from it. You write so beautifully and I do appreciate your time and how precious it is with "youngins"around

You make my heart go skippity hop too LOL
Every time I read your posts, I feel happy. You always add the cheerful to my day.
Hope the wee ones are doing well. Hope to see another post soon about all those lovely other adventures and discoveries.

PS. L.O.V.E that jug!!!

Hello Lucy. I am enjoying your joyful splashes of colour as ever - I still haven't managed to become versed in the world of hook , there is just too much making of silver birds and jewelled blossom to be done. I'll get there eventually with little yarn-y flowers, but I just wanted to drop by and say it's tough blogging with a new baby isn't it? My tiny is now nearly two and there are still some weeks when the blog has to be forgotten. My noggin's full of posts- I only manage to pull together a small selection. Hats off to you for posting so regularly and producing new designs too. Emma x

Life sure gets in the way of blogging. I am a happy girl today because the said jug has just arrived. Its want let you down is a beauty...Go on treat yourself...

Oh, what a beautiful blue sky for England. I lived in Suffolk for three years and I don't remember very many really blue sky days. Yes, the pitcher is to die for. You should buy it :)
Love your happy blog!

I stumbled across your blog and I must say that your crocheting is fabulous. Each and every project is gorgeous!

I can't tell you how much I enjoy reading your posts and looking at your pictures!!! They give me the warm fuzzies; everything is so bright and lovely. Your blog is my favorite!!!!

Hello there. I am a mother of three small children living just outside of Detroit Michigan. I stumbled upon your blog while looking for inspiration. In Jan. I discovered crochet and haven't been able to stop since. Your blog is so beautiful. It speaks to my soul and I absolutely love your sense of style! I can't wait to see what else you have to share... oh and I also love the button jug! Thanks for being so creative!

Lucy the jug is fab and got me wondering what a 3d version might look like. Im thinking I might use my extensive button collection and stick some all over a plain cream jug that I have. It would be a different twist on the one in the picture. Best wishes - jacqui x

The mug is great!!!! Love it too. Keep the head cool.. Blogposts will come sooner or later.

Beautiful daffodils and jug--thanks for sharing! I always enjoy visiting your blog...something about it always makes me smile.

Dear Lucy don't worry about all the things you want to share with us. We know what it is like and now that the weather is picking up there is all the outside stuff to do.
At least we cannot say we are bored!!!
Take care.
Love Sarahx

Hi Lucy! So glad to see your post. I know what you mean, sometimes life can take you away. What kind of tree is that with the gorgeous yellow blooms?

Gorgeous daffs, we have some like that too :) I NEED that jug...what have you done!

It's so lovely to be back home here in the UK and to enjoy lovely inspiring blogs like yours! xx

As much as I love your wordy posts, I LOVE the beautiful, unwordiness of these ones too!

Thank you so much for writing this! I learned a lot and appreciate the perspective.

I just stumbled across your blog recently and I LOVE it. I love crafty things and recently re-learnt how to knit, but it always takes me such a long time to finish! Crocheting granny squares is much more instant-gratification, much more my style :) thank you for being such an inspiration!

The real purpose of this comment though, is to link you to this which made me think of this little blog!!

Sophie :)
