Hello, and Happy easter to you all! The Little People are home today and for the next fortnight, so it's been rather lovely to start the day relaxed and in holiday mode, lounging around in our pj's eating chocolate and hot cross buns for breakfast. J is still at work today, although he too has the next two weeks off and we're all very happy about that prospect. It really does feel like it's going to be a special holiday time for us as a family.
We did a little bit of Easter prettifying today, it was down to me and Little Lady this year as Little Man was too busy charging around outside with his street buddies and Little B was asleep. We went into the attic eaves to retrieve our Easter Box and decorated the jug of fake blossom twigs, it was fun! We (well ok, I myself) also made some chocolate crispy nests this morning, our Easter is never complete until we/I've made these. And scoffed rather too many of those delicious little eggs too.
This morning I was reading through my archives from April last year :: I do really enjoy looking back on my blog entries, and find it fascinating to note the similarities and the familiar patterns of life that occur year on year. We had a FABULOUS Easter break down in Dorset last year, and tomorrow we are off again, making the 300 mile journey south to the coast to spend time with my family.
Excited?? ooooooo YES indeed!!! Sea breezes, green hills, lazy rivers, eating, drinking, chatting, playing, I am really, really, really looking forward to it.
Wishing you a wonderful holiday time, I hope you enjoy every single little itty-bitty moment of it!

Wishing you and your family a Happy Chocolate-filled Easter, best wishes Pj x

Hi there. I love your Easter decorations. I put up an Easter tree too (see it on www.thebeeladyfromhilltopfarm.blogspot.com) and you have given me a new idea. I'm going to add some birds to it for next year! You have also inspired me to learn to crochet. I knit, but I'm "needing" some granny square afghans! On my next vacation, I vow to take a crochet hook and some brightly colored yarn!

Lucy, I haven't posted a comment yet, but wanted to say hello and a wonderfully happy easter to you and the family. I check your blog every few days, and love the feeling of being connected back to skipton, even from afar. I miss the wonderful days of knitting and nattering... havent found a group quite like you folks in Canada yet. Maybe I'll just have to start one.
Have a wonderful holiday in Dorset!
Much love,
Elizabeth

Lucy, may you and your family have a grand Easter, and also enjoy that visit to the south.
All your decorations are spritely, chic, fun, colorful, and more. It's so good that you and your daughter have done this decorating as a continuing tradition.

Happy Easter! I have been reading and enjoying your blog for a while now and thought Easter as good a time as any to say hi!

we were in exactly the same places at the same time last year! My dad has a home in Charmouth so we spend as much time as we can there. I recommend the easter egg hunt at Abbotsbury if it is on this year.
