Hello, and Happy easter to you all! The Little People are home today and for the next fortnight, so it's been rather lovely to start the day relaxed and in holiday mode, lounging around in our pj's eating chocolate and hot cross buns for breakfast. J is still at work today, although he too has the next two weeks off and we're all very happy about that prospect. It really does feel like it's going to be a special holiday time for us as a family.
We did a little bit of Easter prettifying today, it was down to me and Little Lady this year as Little Man was too busy charging around outside with his street buddies and Little B was asleep. We went into the attic eaves to retrieve our Easter Box and decorated the jug of fake blossom twigs, it was fun! We (well ok, I myself) also made some chocolate crispy nests this morning, our Easter is never complete until we/I've made these. And scoffed rather too many of those delicious little eggs too.
This morning I was reading through my archives from April last year :: I do really enjoy looking back on my blog entries, and find it fascinating to note the similarities and the familiar patterns of life that occur year on year. We had a FABULOUS Easter break down in Dorset last year, and tomorrow we are off again, making the 300 mile journey south to the coast to spend time with my family.
Excited?? ooooooo YES indeed!!! Sea breezes, green hills, lazy rivers, eating, drinking, chatting, playing, I am really, really, really looking forward to it.
Wishing you a wonderful holiday time, I hope you enjoy every single little itty-bitty moment of it!

Lucy, I have been forced away from the Attic at work and very busy at school and work..so I have not had time to visit since December...I am SO HAPPY that Little B made it here safely and that you are doing well now. I missed the brightness you bring to my life and I just wanted to say thanks for being you and congratulations! Have a great April. BeBe in Florida

I really enjoyed your lovely, homey Easter post! I made hot cross buns for the first time this year. (cause you can't find them in a store around here). I love traditional things and it was so wonderful to see pics of yours.

Happy Easter to you and all your loved ones. I normally thank you for the inspiration you give me with the crochet - but time I'm grateful that you left the message about Elspeth... I'd corresponded with her for a short while and she was a beautiful person who seemed to love life. And it made me wonder, do most blogs only show the 'perfect' sides of our lives? But I remember your many posts, spilling over with all your different emotions, and so hope that yes, your life is as full and as beautiful as your blog shows it to be. Happy holidays Lucy - and as always, look forward to more and more creativity and love of life. Boo xx

Those little easter bunnies are very cute. I also love the knitted chook. There is nothing better than a cadbury mini egg to decorate and eat!

Dear Lucy, I am trying to use up my scraps by making the tiny 2 round crochet squares - the ones you did for a cushion that you backed with a pink thrifted jumper - but I am having such problems with joining as I go along and also with working in the ends. If I can't do this there will be a terrible mess to darn in after wards and I will never finish it I know. I know you are away right now, but would it be possible sometime in the future to show how it's done? I would be so happy to be able to do it!! Thanks in anticipation! And have a happy holiday with your little and big people. Sue
