I love making little flowers, and often find myself playing about with different variations and designs, kind of the crochet equivalent of doodling if you like. A little messing about with hook and yarn, a little experimenting, a tweak here and there. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes my little experiments get abandoned, but sometimes they do go on to become successful little things and that makes all the messing and tweaking worthwhile.
I designed and made these little Springtime Flowers over the weekend :: they are wonderfully quick and easy to make.
I even managed to photograph some step by step instructions for making them, cos I thought you might perhaps fancy trying a little hooky floral goodness too.
You can find the pattern/tutorial in the usual place, over to the left there in my sidebar, listed as a page. I've called them Little Picot Flowers, click here to see.
I hope the instructions make sense as I wrote them out earlier this afternoon, typing one handed whilst holding Little B up over my shoulder to get his wind up. A little typing, a little patting and mopping up of spit-up on my shoulder, a little more typing, a little more patting and mopping. My life is so messy these days.
My pile of flowers sat around on the dining table for quite a while on Saturday :: I kept playing with them, rearranging them, lining them up, pondering on what to do with them. And as much as I loved them and found them impossibly pretty and Spring-like, they somehow needed a purpose. So I carried on with my "hooky doodling" and came up with this Flowery Wreath to accommodate them.....do you like it?Do you think you might like a tutorial to make your own?
I've started writing one, and if you'd care to pop back in to the Attic again tomorrow I'll try and have it finished for you.
That's if Little B allows. Ahhhh Little B :: I love him soooooooooo much but he's such a time guzzler!
See you tomorrow I hope ♥
