About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

I'm a knitter who stumbled upon your blog and now find myself half way through your hexagon blanket. Thank you. I enjoy your positive energy, way over here in NY.

'uplifting'. Is that the word you were looking for re. the daffs?! Oooohhhh, baby brain - I still have it 2 years after my last baby was born and especially today as he was up until 11:15pm last night (1hr 15mins past MY usual bedtime)!!

Looking forward to the blanket ta-dah!

What a lovely Wednesday, I'm afraid we too are hooked on your oaty biscuits but this week we have the loveliness that is Chocolate Caramel Shortbread. Love the flowers, take care of yourselves especially the little one

But how did Little ("Little") B get so BIG???????? Ah. A supergrower!!!

sorry luce, i dont think your post today was meant to be funny but it had me in stitches - "daft baby-related things" and oat cookies being a regular part of your fmaily's diet..LOL..too funny!

and i LOVE the flowers on your mantel!!

Hi there!

First of all I just need to tell you that your blog and your posts are the highlight of my day. Anytime I'm feeling blue I just drop by here and I immidiately feel so much better, thank you so much for doing all this.

The second thing I wanted to do was to ask you for some help. I have entered a competition where I am supposed to spread the word about the school I'm going to. Since I don't have my own blog, and lack a big network of people I thought I'd ask you if you would want to help me. All you have to do is click on this link:

And perhaps tell other people to do so as well if you want to and have the time to help. It would mean a great deal to me!

Thanks yet again!

Your new blanket looks lovely, and I look forward to a "taa daa" moment in all it's glory. I was wondering though, if you ever finished your cross body bag. I would love to see that as a finished article.

Can't WAIT to see your blanket!! Will you be sharing the pattern for the zig zags with us all as well? Oh, please do when you can! I would love to try this design myself.

Lucy you are just so talented! love the flowers and cant wait to see the blanket!

Well done (nearly) finishing! I like your blue spoon, it looks like one of mine I've just bought :o)xx

Such a lovely post, your blog really does cheer up my day and since reading it I am obsessed with crochet. I've just finished my second cushion and it's not perfect but I was so excited to see it finished. Can't wait to see your finished blanket.

Aw, Lucy it sounds as if things are going really well! Crocheting, meeting with friends and baking! You are a domestic goddess superstar!

Loved that you also forgot the names or words you wanted - made me feel as if I was sitting next to you!

Best wishes xx

Hi Lucy,
What lovely photos you post, they cheer me up no end. And as my Mum is in hospital atm i need blogland to cheer me up. The flowers and plants are sooo colourful. I`m definately going to make those cookies this weekend.
Love Carole from Rossendale xxxx

Oh my goodness Lucy! How on earth do you find the time to look after little B, do three loads of laundry, meet friends for coffee and a natter, bake yummy cookies and then have enough time to finish your lovely zigzag crochet blanket? I'm not sure how you do it but it certainly seems like your Wednesday was as much fun as your Monday was. I am really looking forward to the big Ta-dah post too :O)

WOW WEE!!!! Flowers, color, baking goodness, baby, and hooking, life doesn't get much better!!! Good for you, can't think of anyone more deserving at this time. Love you from Vermont, Robbie
