The squares look great set on point. I'll have to do that for a change.

Happy Birthday! Your cake looks divine.
I have a question about the squares in this post. Can you send me the stitch pattern? I'm new to this granny square thing and I don't know where to look for that one. I really like the way it looks. I want to make a pillow out of them if I can figure it out. Best Wishes, D

Thank you very much for everything you share with us!
I love every coloured thing you do!!
Could you please explain hw to make this little squares! I love them!!
Thank you so much!

Flowers and chocolate, can't get better than that!
I know it's a slim chance that you have time to visit all those that comment. I would really, really like you to come for a visit though, and see the ripple I just birthed! (along with a couple granny pillows)
I'm a big fan of yours and never visit with out commenting!

Beautiful flowers. I can't wait until we have any sign of flowers here. Won't be for weeks and weeks I'm afraid.

Such pretty granny squares! I need to learn to make those.

Dear Lucy How do I work out the quantity
of yarn needed for a project like a ripple
Lovely sunshine down here in this part of the country and lots of frost early in the morning. I expect you are busy finishing your wonderful blanket. Hope you are well
and enjoying that "hint" of spring!!(to be said in a quiet voice in case it disappears)
Love sarah west mids

you are so lucky to have a market. In my town (about 15 miles away from you) we only get the ridiculously expensive farmers' markets now, once a month. And the flower shops are so expensive....still, we have crocus popping oput all over the place (in spite of little spats of snow!)Lovely pictures! Your little tableaux always cheer me up.

Fabulous flowers, scrummy choccy cake and those little squares of lovliness - thinking of the joy they bring is enough to make me heart-skippy happy :-)
Hope all is well at Attic 24 - sending love xx

hello lucy, wanted to let you know you've had your impact here in israel - stumbled across this blog a couple of months ago; you got me crocheting like mad ever since. and today i've finished my first beautiful baby-blanket - 117 squares in all, completely & totally inspired by you! love your cheerful works!

hi sweetface! thinking of you! never will forget the beauty of finding your blog for the first time. it was love at first sight. and you still have retained the fresh authenticity you had from the very beginning. hope you have the best springtime ever, ever, ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Attic 24 !
My ripples are coming around ever so slowly...
I keep getting interrupted by 'life' and drama...ugh....but I do enjoy working my little project !
thank YOU so much for sharing the pattern.
You are my Hero.

Beautiful flowers, chocolate and colorful crocheted goodness. What else could a girl ask for? Just looking at it all is making me quite happy. You have dull gray skies and we have dust and dreariness. Ugh! We just returned from Sri Lanka and would much rather be back there. Wishing you much happiness. :) Tammy

Dear Lucy,
Although it is quite complicated the way I found your wonderfull and happy blog (from Hungary), but let me tell you, that I love your crochets and colours! I was curious wheter will I be abble to make those funny little birds, you gave the accurate "how to" in your blog. And I could! Because your description is really easy to follow. Thank you very much! :)

Thanks Lucy for your comment - I really appreciate you taking the time [it's not as if you're not already busy!!].
I'm going to persevere with the crochet because I want to do some lovely stuff like you do and that's going to be my motivation.
I hear we have a mutual friend in Donna of Fabric of my Life - isn't she just wonderful?

Happy birthday. I never test an english cake even if on my opinion it's THE cake for a birthday

Found you little blog a few weeks ago. Love it! Thanks for the inspiration. I have just started a summer garden blanket myself. Your tutorial is wonderful.

That looks like it will be a yummy blanket! What a great blog for inspiration!

what a clever idea using the squares like that! Now I have another project to do!!!!

I get heart-skippy happy just looking at your stuff.
Such beautiful, butter yellow, pale daffodils!

Cheers - Joolz

Daffodils are my fave's. I have been reading your blog for a while and enjoying colour and local views, now to get to why I am saying all this. I made my D1 ripple pillows for Xmas, she now wants a throw for a King size bed to go with it. I could not stand the thought of rippling for that width, so I was playing with shapes, triangles mainly. But they just did not seem to work for me and then I made a small square, turned it like you have and its perfect for what I want. Forgot I had seen yours before, would have saved me a lot of time in working and frogging ☺
PS - Happy birthday J!!!

Your posts never fail to inspire.
Now I want daffodils, chocolate fudge cake, and I feel the need to crochet an afghan.
Am I easily influenced?

happy birthday, looks like a great day to me

Bravo Lucy!
