About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

What a combination of jobs!! Little one looks very snuggly there.

Hello there!
I have been admiring and learning from your beautiful tutorials. Thanks so much! I am planning to crochet my very first afghan and need some help with the edging. It is a mixture of multicoloured picot and shell/scallops. If I sent you a picture of it, would you be able to tell me how to do it? I would be over the moon! Thanks so much!

You are so clever!

Go you! I always wondered if there were a way to salvage some time spent breastfeeding... it just happens SO often the first few months, with something else too.
Great compromise!

A delkightful little post :o)
You are sounding very mcuh on form - sense of humour very much intact, creative and milky juices flowing - I knew You had the makings of a marvelous multi-tasker :o)

Can't wait to see the blankieee!

That was going to be one of my questions. Do you crochet while breast feeding? Then I thought....you don't have time to answer questions!

Hey Sweetie-Happy Saturday.

Can you believe it? I just got back from my library here in town.... and you will never believe what I found. THE SAME BOOK YOU DID..... yipee..... So,off I go to peer over every picture and imagine all these goodies in my colors. We are pretty darn close, but I go a little crazy with all my home dyed yarns. So, this dusty find will be so cool to hunt through. Always love a treasure that you bring to our attention.

Thanks for stopping by my garden every so often, I so enjoy seeing you.

Off to start... but I probably should finish my Lollipop Guild first, right...

Sunny Day Hugs,
Kate - The Garden Bell

My number 2 boy spent so long feeding I learnt to wander around the house tidying up while he fed!
Hooking and tea drinking shows you have your priorities right!xx

Now that's organization!!

Love the little squares - and the little head! - happy multi tasking.

And what a sweet, sweet picutre. Bless your little lamb.

Looking forward to seeing the next blankie. Have a lovely weekend.

Have you ever worked with tweed yarns?

I am loving their colours, just not sure how they crochet up?

Fruitful Fusion

You've made me miss the days when I was doing that. Yes, you can get a lot done! I had a brilliant nursing pillow that a friend had made for me.

Woo hoo! What an uplifting discovery!
