Been granny-square making this afternoon, busting that stash and building those piles.
Am almost done with the making (eight more squares to go, plus twelve half-squares), then it'll be time to stitch it all together.
I had a go at laying all the squares out earlier to get an idea of how they are going to look patchworked together, and I have to say I think this is gonna be one Sweet little blankie.
Something else thats very Sweet indeed is the business of Multi-tasking. Much to my delight, I discovered this afternoon that I can very effectively Multi-task if I Prepare in Advance, if I get myself set up right.
On the sofa, squishy cushion behind my back. Little table to the front with cup of tea and scissors, cushion underneath on which to rest my arm. Yarn and hook to the left, Little B right there resting his sweet head, doing his thing.
And hey=presto!
I can simultaneously apply myself to being a Milk Tanker and a Hooker!!
Oh Happy Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's hoping you all have a great weekend, whatever tasks you have in mind :: have fun!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
You are Making it all work and doing it beautifully!!! Many blessings to you and family, Robbie

I just discovered your blog and I love it! I laughed when I read about your multitasking because I am always crocheting while nursing the baby! Except I usually have a cup of coffee on the table.

Thank you for finding blog time as well dear Lucy. Although more a knitter and sewer, I find your chats so sweet and relaxing. When I get home from work I like to check to see if you have making and chatting again. Not only multi tasking, but being creative and inspirational as well. Cheers from Australia

Little B. is so cute!
I used to multi task too when I was breastfeeding my son. Although I didn't crochet but read books. He was drinking for long stretches at a time so I had the time to read a whole chapter or more during one feed.
Love your Granny's too by the way!

Love the picture of Little B's head...it brings back wonderful memories of sweet baby head fragrance from about 14 years ago when my kids were little like that. Please show the blankie when it's finished :-)
