About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

Dear Lucy, THANK YOU for sharing Little B's fingers! When you see them don't you forget the bad night?
If i could, i'd love to hold him for one night so you could sleep!!!
Keep up! Thanks again.

It's lovely. I love your blog, your photos, they are so full of jo, hope, love. Hugs from Portugal!

Congratulations Lucy! This truly is an inspiring blog, I regularly stop by to see what's been happening in the attic but this is the first time I've left a comment. Since Christmas you've inspired me to have a go and crochet...and now I'm 'hooked'(please excuse the corney pun!) Thank you Lucy and keep smiling!! Amanda x

Hello from Menorca Island,
How beautiful your works are... I'd really falled in love with them...
Since I discovered your blog (through a venezolan crochet blog...) I can't stop reading it.
I would like to send you some photos of my works, directly inspired in yours.
As i decided that my sunny house is colourless... for the moment I began with the bathroom. How can I sent you my photos ? Thank your for brighten our days and go on... (I also have 3 children: the 11 years old twins and my litle treasure aged 7.)

The picture of the little fingers is so adorable.

I think everybody voted for you. When you get time stop by my blog and pick up the Sunshine Award Button I have given you. You bring so much sunshine to all of us.

Hang in there. Time will take care of this. I'm going over to the Olympics to cast my vote.

Oh Lucy. I have not had a chance to read your blog for a week and have just teared up reading this post. I am so happy that you are feeling better and I hope I am not too late to vote!! I am off to check... Happy day to you (and how cute is that pic of your bub holding your hand ~ too gorgeous!!). ~ Tina x

Why shouldn't we vote for you? You and your blog are Simply the Best!!!

You so totally deserve it. You were my best find of 2009. Finding you has enriched my life and the life of people I know thru learning and perfecting our crochet skills. You are the best crochet teacher. I have tried to learn before but have never been successful until finding you. You just make it so easy to learn. You are one cool and awesome chick!

Cute little hand! Looking forward to seeing your tutorial on the heart when you have time!

I agree Lucy, you deserve all this and more. You're so giving.

You're welcome! xoxo

I just started reading your blog recently, and get tears in my eyes when I read about the challenges you are having with your littlest one. I just became a grandma, and it is such a joy and wonder to hold and watch these little ones grow. I know the exhaustion can be overwhelming, but I hope that you have time to enjoy the little joys, the little changes that each day brings. My heart goes out to you. Thank you for sharing your struggles with us. It is so wonderful to realize that we are all united through needlework even though we have never met. How cool!

Anything for you Lucy. You brighten my day, every day.

Such a cute baby picture! Not unnecessary at all. I like the heart picture too.
