About Me

  • Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

As a newcomer to your website, I was greatly impressed by (& jealous of) your beautiful creativity. Your home is so warm & inviting & you obviously have a number of long-time well wishers.

Although it's a bit too late to wish you & your family & friends a Merry Christmas, I do wish you all a Very Happy & Blessed New Year!! I will return to see what additional wonders you have created.

God Bless!

PS: Have visited England & Scotland 4 times & LOVE it! Would move there if I could!!!!

Merry Christmas and wishing you a new year filled with many happy memories and special moments, blessings galore and as much inspiration and more than you had last year. I don't comment often, but I'm here often, and my heart soars with inspiration and love of your work when I visit.

So happy new year, wishing you a fabulous 2010.

PS-- the pic of the cards with the trees at the top... we sent out those cards for christmas :) Neat!

I have been following your blog for several months now, but this is my first comment. I absolutely love all of your creations, and I have made several stars. I've just started a blog of my own, and I hope to be telling my readers about you with a link to your crocheting posts. Thanks so much for the patterns.

Love. love love all the garments!! So pretty!
Hope you had a great Christmas!

Hi Lucy! I'm a new follower of yours and I LOVE your blog! I'm SO happy to see all your colorful Christmas decorations...when our son was born my husband and I decided we just had to do a colorful Christmas tree and it always makes me smile now every year :-) No more boring white lights! ;-) I wanted to ask where you found the nativity set on your mantlepiece...it's so beautiful! Anyway...hope you had a happy Christmas and can't wait to start trying out some of your crochet patterns this year!

I would REALLLLLLLY LOOOOOOOVE to know where you got your tree-topper! It's adorable!!!!!!

(this is my first comment, but I've been reading your blog for a While now. I'm totally in love with your colorful little world!)

I made your florentines as a Christmas present - my partner and I often buy presents for each other during the year and neither of us could think of much to buy, so rather than buying something that he didn't need, just for the sake of it, I thought these biscuits would go down well. And they did - very easy to make and boy are they lovely. I used a mixture of dried berries as i couldn't find dried cranberries, can recommend that too.
Hope you had a lovely Christmas!

Merry Christmas Lucy, I hope you've all had a lovely time

I hope that you have had a nice X-mas. Thank you for all the lovely story's you told us. I love to read them.
