About Me

  • Hello! Thank you so much for visiting me in the Attic, it's lovely to see you. My name is Lucy and I'm a happily married Mum with three children. We live in a cosy terraced house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in England which we are slowly renovating and making home. I have a passion for crochet and colour and love to share my creative journey. I hope you enjoy your peek into my colourful little world x

As much as I love christmas, I can't wait for spring for everything to burst back into life. Lovely pics!

What a delightful year's end gift you have given us. Thank you and I'm wishing for you all the best that life has to offer: Good health for you and all your loved ones, inner peace and contentment, and abundant love!

Dear Lucy lovely flower pics. Must grow some sweet williams this year coming.
Have you looked at Sarah Raven. She does gardening with lots and lots of colour. Her book on growing your own cut flowers is inspiring. A real dark day here and rain.
Last day of 2009 tomorrow. Look forward to your review.
Love Sarah west mids.

I'm loving your reviews - what a great way to reflect on your year. I'm doing a little of my own reflection and anticipation at the moment and you reviews are certainly aiding that.

These photos are absolutely stunning. Browsing through them this morning made me think that wouldn't it be lovely to have an Attic24 calendar?? How scrumptous would that be - full of colour, crochet, cooking and flowers (I ran out of 'c' words!!) I can just imagine it added to you monthly calendar review. I'm sure you will have plently of things to keep you busy in 2010, but might you, just maybe, consider making an Attic24 calendar for 2011??

Je viens de découvrir votre blog, vos photos sont magnifiques et j'adore ce que vous faites.Merci de nous donner du bonheur avec toutes ces couleurs merveilleuses.

Colourful shiny flowers on a rainy grey day end of december, what a lovely idea!
And tomorrow? A review on poems you read this year? Whatever I will see tomorrow.

Ahh, so darned pretty! And you Lucy, sure know your flowers! Beautiful :D

I love flowers, and have gardens full of flowers and herbs and plants. But if I bring any indoors, I have one cat that nibbles at them until they're gone!

Absolutely beautiful.

He visitado su blog durante el 2009 y admiro su trabajo.
Deseo felicitarla por sus mantas afganas y desearle feliz 2010.
Un abrazo desde mi pais Colombia,

What a lovely review.
From a scots lass in rainy switzerland einen guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr.
A good journey/transfer to the new year. Apologies for the poor translation to any Swiss readers of this lovely blog

love flowers! :)

SO beautiful! I think you should do a review of all the wonderful things you bake! Oh, and will there be pictures of the new babies room? I can't wait to see! : )

Gorgeous, wonderful, beautiful flowers. I just found your blog today through another and am thoroughly enchanted with all your crocheted goodies! I am such a novice but am so looking forward to trying out some of your patterns. Lovely stuff. Thanks for sharing ! Blessings :) Tammy

Bellas.... gracias por mostrarlas que tengas un lindo comienzo de año.

You glance at the boring "reviews of the year" in newspapers and on TV........... then you visit Lucy and .... wow ... now you are smiling, now you feel good, now your world looks so much brighter!
Can't wait for tomorrow's eyecandy.

Lucy....I see a calendar in your future!! :-) It could be a pretty one, or a bossy one, and then you could tell us all what to do!!! (Not that I think you would want to.) Lovely photos and, as so many others have said, just what we need on a cold and grey day, here in the Northern Hemisphere.

Gorgeous colours, beautiful photos.

So nice to see such wonderful flower photos, instead of looking out the window here at more snow! Your photos are better than any of the floral calendars that are available. Thank you!

Pom Pom

Yum! More flowers for all, I say!

Ahhhhhhh is right! What a beautiful display. I love them all, but especially the red berries for December.

I think I need to start off the New Year with some flowers! (I'll have to buy them for myself, though; can't expect my husband to think of that! haha)

Happy New Year Lucy!

How gorgeous! The colors are so vibrant. I enjoyed your seeing a bit of color since snow is now on the ground!

Happy New Year! I wish you much joy and success in 2010.

Beautiful and heartlifting. Noodles (age 6) and I hope to grow a selection of flowers on the allotment this year so we can have plenty to cut both for us and giving away.

lucy - thank you for the lovely burst of colour on a horrid cold grey day
gill xx
